Chapter 2

I walk into my room to see my phone buzzing face up with a text.

My cold pale hand reach towards it, As I pick up I feel the warmth of the iPhone generating.

Ashley ☺️

Hey! How was your ride???

Ashley is my best friend, I can't say she has been my best friend since I was born, but she has been my best friend since I moved and that feels like forever to me.

I text back...

Ashley 😊

Yeah it was ok, I'm so nervous for tomorrow!

Haha don't be I know you will be so amazing.

Thanks 💕

I put the my phone down and lie on my bed. My white sheets feel like snow as the send shivers down my spine. My eyes wonder around the room and dance at the colours of all my horse posters.

One year,
I have only been riding for one year...
That means one year of focusing.
One year of heels down and heads up,
One year of working with an animal that could possibly kill me with one small move.
But still it has been the best year of my life...

I hear a knock on my door.

" come in."

I reply sitting up.

The door creaks open.

It can only be one person which would be my mother. unless it's a axe murder... That would suck.

" hey honey I'm sorry about before, I know that it's your exam and your academy that you want to get into so I should just butt out"

Oh thank god it's not a murder!

" it's fine mom I'm sorry I barked at you..." I say apologetically.

She holds out a tray with a plate of salad and a home made burger. Keeping the plate company is a tall glass of water.

I smile at mom and wrap my hands around the tray and place it on my lap. The Burger has juices from the meat trickling down the side and on the bun.

Mom leaves the room and shuts the door slowly.

I can hear the steps she takes down the hallway and in the lounge.

My phone buzzes once more.

Ashley ☺️

Good night see you tomorrow morning at sliver-stone! Xx

My eyes smile from my cheeks as I read the text.

Oh the joys of tomorrow...
