Chapter 1 ~ The last day of school

Tessa's P.O.V. ;

I woke up by my alarm, which was playing Keep your head up by Andy Grammar. The only song that makes waking up a little bit easier. I quickly grabbed my phone and saw it was 7:00 AM. I let out a sigh and set up straight. I looked at the bed opposite from mine where Alex was still sleeping. Alex has been my best friend ever since I moved to France and went to this school. It is an international boarding high school for teens that needed to move countries and couldn't speak french, like us. I am 17 now and been living here since I was 12 so I speak a bit french now. Through out the semester I stay here and in the holidays I go back to the south coast of France, to my parents and my older brother who have a hotel there. Alex parents don't live on one place, but travel around for work so she always joins me. She's kind of my sister form another mister. At school we share a room and have a lot of classes together which means fun for us but the teachers are not so happy about that...

Today is the last day of our junior year which means we are going to be seniors next year! At 9:30 we have a meeting with the whole school where the headmaster gives a little speech to say have a nice and safe summer break and then they allowed us to get our stuff and go on the bus that take us to the station. Then we take a train to south with our 4 friends how need to go the same way. It takes 2 trains and 3/4 hours to get there but it is always a lot of fun travelling together. We aren't like loners but we have 4 best friends that are the ones we hang out the most with. Our little gang of 6. I have other friends from field hockey, which I played since I was 6 and some friends from music. Alex is a cheerleader where she also has some friends.

After spending 10 minutes on my phone, checking twitter, instagram, etc. I decided to wake up Alex. I always set our alarm but she intends to totally sleep through it every time so that leaves me to find a creative way to wake her up. Because I am feeling really happy to go home and see my family again, I stay nice and just throw my pillow at her. "Autsj, Tess why did I deserve that for?" Alex says with a sleepy voice. "Because it is something past 7 and we need to get all our clothes packed, get ready, eat breakfast with Jack, Cody, Tyler and Jake"(These are the 4 I mentioned early. Yeah, they are all boys but they are really nice and we have known them since the first year.) and then get the headmasters meeting! I say to here. "I am going to shower first, so you can lay around for a bit longer" I continue as I grab walk to the closet to get some clothes and a towel.

Instead of getting normal clothes we have to wear our school uniform to the meeting. I think that's really ridiculous because we're going home afterwards but yeah rules are rules. I quickly pick my blue skirt, white knee high socks, white blouse, blue blazer and underwear. I walk to our bathroom and hop in to the shower. I take a quick shower, get dressed, blow dry my natural curled hair and put some make up on. Nothing really fancy, just some mascara and concealer for the dark circles because sleeping in the same room as your best friend guarantees no sleep. When I walk in to our room again I see Alex is still asleep. "Aleeeeex! You really need to get up!" I yell. She slowly goes out of bed, gets her stuff and goes to the bathroom. I look at my watch to see it's 7:34. We are meeting Cody, Jack, Tyler and Jake at 9:00 which leaves me with an hour and 26 minutes to pack all my clothes and stuff. I get my big suitcase from under my bed and start to pack the clothes from the closet to the suitcase.

After a while Alex came back in her uniform and started to pack her stuff too. "I can't believe we are going to be seniors next year.." Alex says. "Yeah, I know it's crazy but first we have an amazing summer a head of us!" I reply. "I am so excited to see Joe again.. I have missed him so much!" Alex says and reliefs a sigh. Joe is my brother and Alex's boyfriend. They got together last summer and I am really happy my 2 fave persons are dating. "What kind of work are we going to do at the hotel?" Alex continuous. "Uhm, I think we take the afternoons at the pool bar/restaurant and chill at the beach a lot" "Sounds great!" Then I hear my phone ringing, it is Jake. "Heyy Jakeee" Alex and I yell through the phone. "Heyyyy" he yells. "We are standing outside of the girls dorms, coming down for breakfast?" "Yeah, on our way!"
