I'm happy. I really am. This last year has been a hard one. We went through a lot and I think we've changed a little. Even when you are grown you still grow. Everyday you learn and grow. I have changed a lot since Matt and I met. We have truly grown together. This last year we lost our baby. We made everything work because we thought we would be parents. Right now we probably would have had him or her. We have Louie though. I kinda of made that decision quickly. I know Matt wasn't thrilled about the idea at first because it wasn't good timing. I didn't think about that. Now that Louie is in our lives and has been, we love him. We both really do. We have more of a life.
I just knew that how happy I am matters. I didn't really need much. I have the guy I love and my son. Louie is my son. I tucked him in for bed and he was fast asleep. I went back to the couch and settled down quietly. This was the life I always imagined. Matt walks through the door " sorry.." I looked at him " shhh! I just got him asleep.." Matt quietly walked over to me " sorry... hey sorry I'm late!" I laughed " it's fine.." He kissed me " so how was today...?" I smiled " good.. you know what..?" Matt looked at me " what?" I smiled " Were parents.. I know this is all me.. and all but this is us. I'm happy you know... like I never thought I could be this happy... after everything.." Matt looked at me " ya.. I know what you mean... I'm so happy that your happy.. and this is us.."
