One Wish.

Prologue

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," His voice was like molten ice as you ducked down behind some moving boxes. "Dark is gonna find ya..." You saw him step in through the doorframe, his black eyes scanning the room briefly, his voice carrying the words of his song. If you knew this was going to be the outcome, you would've never wished for it.

You felt somewhat relieved as Dark slowly backed out of the room, disappearing back into the shadows of the corridor. You heard his swift footsteps slowly getting further away before opening another door and entering through it, and thus he started his little song once more.

This was your opportunity to run, the front door was only a few steps from the room you was currently in. You crept out from behind the boxes and slowly made your way to the open doorway. You pressed yourself against the wall behind the door just in case you needed cover and you was glad that you did. Immediately you saw Dark come through the doorway, luckily the lack of power in the house provided you with some cover in the shadows.

You held your breath as he made his way towards your previous hiding spot, glad that you had moved. You slowly began to creep out from behind the door, your eyes on him the entire time as you slowly backed out from the room and into the hallway. He was still searching the room as you made your way to the door silently.

You managed to make it to the door and slowly pulled the handle down. It was unlocked! You slowly began to open it as to not draw attention to yourself and it got halfway before a pale hand slammed against the oak wood door, forcing it shut once more. Your breath caught in your throat as you felt yourself be pushed against the door.

"Found you."
