I walked cautiously and hid underneath the dock. Who in the world would be out here at like 6:20 in the morning? I looked up through one of the cracks and saw a guy with his hand in his head sobbing with something silver next to him. I walked up towards the dock to get a better look. The guy was sitting, shirtless, in blue jeans and he now had the silver object in his hands.
It was a gun.
He looked forward, I couldn't see his face but I knew that shaggy haircut anywhere.
"LUCAS!" I yelled. I dropped my bag and food and ran down the dock towards him. He stood up, kicking the gun aside.
I stopped a good five feet away from him.
"Lucas, what are you doing," I asked aggressively. He wiped his face.
"Nothing," he muttered. His eyes were red, from crying I suppose.
"You were holding a gun," I blurted out without thinking.
"No," he denied quickly.
"Luke, I saw it!" I said sternly. He hung his head and sat on the edge of the dock with his legs hanging over the edge.
I couldn't really say anything. I just sat next to him.
"Kelsey, I ..." He started. I tried to hold his hand but he closed his fist and turned away.
"Lucas," I said. He was playing with that damn gun, messing with it in between his fingers. It looked like a pistol of some sort.
"LUCAS STOP," I hollered. I grabbed it and threw it into the lake. I was wrapped with my hands around his shoulders and my legs around his torso. He set me off and turned to face me.
"What the hell was that?!" I exclaimed angrily. He let out a small, raspy laugh.
"Baby I was just playing around," He said.
"You don't just play around... WITH A GUN," I screamed.
"Kels it was just a hand gun don't worry, I was shooting squirrels and random stuff this morning," He said. That was believable. Him and his dad do love hunting.
"But then why were you crying?!" I asked.
"I...I don't want to talk about it. I'll tell you later, please don't make me," he said, panicked.
"Ok ok," I sighed. I took his hand and walked towards a big oak tree. He looked up into the trees and noticed our old treehouse.
"There it is," he smiled. I laughed and ran towards the old ladder. He followed me up and we sat in the loft area. Lucas parked himself on a large beanbag and I cuddled up on his lap.
"You're cute," he smiled. I blushed a little bit. I couldn't stop thinking about why he could have been crying though. I wasn't going to bring it up though. I want him to be happy.
I leaned in and gave him a small kiss. After pulling away he gave me this look. I quickly texted Mia and told her I wouldn't be home for a while. I crawled back over to the bean bag and kicked off my shoes. He smiled and looked into my eyes. We kissed for a good amount of time before something finally happened.
"Hey," he said with a breathy tone.
"Hi," I whispered with a smile.
He kissed my cheek. Then my nose. Then my neck.

"Wow," he sighed. I laughed and rolled myself under his arm. After a good couple minutes of silence we stood up and got dressed. I fixed my hair and slid down the slide to get out.
"Bye," he smiled and waved from the top of the slide. I looked back and blushed a little bit.
I walked off smiling to myself about what just happened. I was walking under the dock when I heard the all too familiar sounds of cat-calling. Here come's Chris and his friends. Chris walked up to me and got very close.
"You're up early," I groaned.
"Just for you, babe," he smirked. His friends snickered. I rolled my eyes and starting walking off until his friend Tyler grabbed my waist and held me still.
"Can you guys go pick on someone else?" I asked. I've put up with them for so long.
"I don't get you, princess," Tyler said. I glared at him. "We're only complimenting you, you should be honored that we think you're sexy."
This set me off. I slapped him in the face and the whole group went silent. Tyler took his hands off my waist and looked at me in shock almost.
"Damn girl," Mike, another guy in the group, laughed. Tyler and I were having a stare down.
"I know how to get you back," He whispered. I feared he was going to hit me or something, but Chris is the aggressive one. Tyler's more so ... sexual, if you will.
"Oh really?" I whispered back. The group took a few steps towards us. He put his hand on the back of my head, and the other on my waist and pulled me in for a kiss that I couldn't pull away from.
Chris whistled, thus catching Lucas's attention.
"KELSEY?!" He yelled in anger, running towards me. I kept trying to pull off but Tyler was too strong. I finally felt Lucas wrap his arms around me and throw me off.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" He screamed at Tyler. I stood back behind Lucas.
"Sorry man, she's just so damn hot," He smirked, testing Lucas. He clenched his fist.
"Luke," I started. He turned to face me.
"NO, DON'T SAY MY NAME TO TRY TO CALM ME DOWN, I'M ANGRY," He yelled at me. I couldn't stand here and just watch him get beat up. I ran off to go get Mia.

By the team Mia and I got back, we arrived at my worst nightmare.
