Troy's POV
I quickly dashed out of the gym and ran into the bathroom. I didn't bother to look back even though everyone was starring at me. I squeezed my eyes shut and sighed as I looked in the bathroom mirror. I couldn't even look at myself. How could I have been so stupid ? It's not like I'd meant to hurt Gabriella. I suddenly heard the sound of squeaking and tapping on the floor, it sounded like crutches, which was pulling me from my thoughts.
"Troy ? Troy where are you ? Are you okay ?" I knew that voice anywhere, but I didn't feel like talking to anyone right now, especially Gabriella. Haven't I hurt her enough ? Why does she even want to talk to me ? I heard her voice echoing again down the hallway. I sighed. I guess I had no choice. She walked in looking for me.
"You know you're in the boy's bathroom....right ?" I reminded. She rolled her eyes.
"Does that really matter right now ? " I looked to my feet and sighed. Her face softened and she sighed, putting a hand on my shoulder.
"What's wrong ? " She wiped my tears off my cheeks and gasped quietly. "We're you..crying ? I sighed again. There was no point in hiding it, it was too obvious by the tear stains on my cheeks. Of course I'd been crying. I put my head in my hands.
"I'm a terrible person." I said crying into my hands. Gabriella rubbed my back softly and ran her fingers through my hair, kissing my cheek.
"What are you talking about ? You're not a terrible person, Troy." She assured. I just ignored her comment and shook my head.
"How can you say that ? Look at me. Look at you.. it's all my fault." I groaned. Gabriella looked at me with a confused expression.
"What do you mean it's all your fault, what are you talking about ?" She questioned. I sighed.
"First the laryngitis, then you twisted your ankle, then you fell and lost your memory, then it came back, what next ? Face it Gabriella, it's all my fault." I looked back at the mirror and tried to wash my face so that it wouldn't seem like I was crying. Gabriella still looked confused. I sighed and explained to her why everything was my fault, just like how Chad, Zeke, and Jason had explained it earlier. When I finished, Gabriella stepped back for a quick second and thought about it. She sighed and hugged me.
"Troy....listen, you didn't mean for any of that to happen, even though it might seem like it's your fault, it's not, because you were only trying to make me happy and have fun. How could I be mad at you for that ? " She said hugging me tighter. I smiled softly.
"I guess your right, but I still feel bad, I'm so sorry, about everything." I said quietly. She smiled and kissed my cheek.
"It's okay Troy, I know you didn't mean any harm." I smiled again and we kissed softly. We walked out of the bathroom quickly and just as we did, the bell rang, which meant that school was finally over. Gabriella picked up her crutches helplessly and looked at me with sad eyes as she mouthed "help me." I sighed and smiled gently. I walked over to her and carefully helped her walk to her locker in the enormous crowd of students in the slippery hallway. Once we were done grabbing our things we walked out of the school and I carefully guided Gabriella to the car and drove us both back to my house. We rested there while we watched some TV and relaxed for the first time in weeks.

********One week later.....*****

Gabriella's POV
A week has passed by now and everything is completely back to normal. I've finally recovered from everything and I can walk, talk, and do everything normally now. I couldn't be more happy. I was in my room laying on my bed and reading a book when my phone suddenly rang. I smiled knowing it was Troy.
"Hello..." I giggled. He laughed.
"Look up." He said. I turned my head towards my balcony doors and giggled as he threw his arms up and smiled. I got up to go open the doors and let Troy inside.
"I was wondering when you were going to stop reading your book and notice the poor guy standing on your balcony waiting for a hug. " He teased. I giggled and hugged him tightly. He kissed my forehead and hugged me back.
"I missed you.." I said with puppy dog eyes. He frowned playfully.
"Aww...I missed you too." He said sweetly, kissing me softly on the lips. Troy had been gone for a few days after he left to go visit some relatives, and this was the first time we had seen each other since. Even though we'd talked on the phone it felt like forever. I sat on my bed and he sat right next to me. He rubbed my knee with his thumb and smiled softly.
"How's your leg feeling ?" He asked softly. I smiled brightly.
"All better." I giggled. He smiled.
" That's good to hear, I'm glad you're okay." He smiled again. He rubbed his thumb again softly over my knee and he reached over and kissed my cheek. Soft, quiet giggles escaped my lips. Troy smiled.
"Sorry, it tickles." I apologized innocently. Troy grinned brightly.
"At least it doesn't hurt anymore." He pointed out. I nodded.
We both sighed in boredom.
"So...now what ?" I asked. Troy shrugged.
"Oooh, I know ! I know ! " Troy smiled at my enthusiasm.
"What ?" He laughed.
"Let's invite Taylor and Chad over so we can all hang out !" She suggested. Troy smiled.
"Sure, I think they're both hanging out right now, I'll call them." He said. I nodded and sat on my bed waiting.
"Hey Chad ? Do you and Taylor want to come over and hang out at Gabriella's house, we've got nothing to do over here.." Troy asked.
"Sure, we weren't really doing anything either......YES WE WERE ! You were learning about equations ! Sorry man, that was Taylor, she was trying to teach me about something...again. Anyway, we'll be there in a few minutes." Chad said. Troy laughed.
"Alright man, see you later." He said hanging up.
"They're on there way." Troy said. I nodded. Finally, after some time had passed, they arrived and knocked on my door. I ran down the stairs to open the door. Troy chased after me.
"Gabriella ! Be careful, you could fall again !" He shouted as I quickly ran down the stairs. Suddenly as I was running, I slipped and began to fall until Troy caught me and stopped me before I had the chance to hit the ground. I let out a big sigh of relief. I could tell Troy was worried as he had concern in his big sparkling blue eyes.
"You have to be careful, or something could happen, and we don't want anymore of that." He warned. I sighed and looked down. Troy saw the hurt expression on my face and his face softened. He bent down on one knee and lifted my chin gently. "I'm sorry, I just, don't want you to get hurt again." He whispered softly and gently. "Are you okay ?" He said kissing my nose. I nodded and held out my arms like a little kid. I made a sad puppy dog face and looked down.
"Carry me, please ?" Troy smiled. He couldn't resist. He bent down and lifted me off the ground and carried me in his arms. He carefully walked over to the door and opened it to let Chad and Taylor inside.
"Hey, sorry to keep you waiting guys, someone got a little bit too excited and had a minor accident." Troy said, tickling my stomach lightly. I bursted out into giggles and tried to pry Troy's hands off my ticklish stomach.
"Troy, Troy ! Stop it ! " I begged. He laughed and stopped. Taylor smiled softly.
"Are you okay Gabby ? We had no idea ?" Taylor asked. I smiled.
"It's okay Tay, I'm fine." I assured. She nodded and smiled.
"Hey Gabs, sorry you got hurt." Chad said sympathetically. I sighed.
"No, no , I'm not hurt, I'm fine." I announced clearly. Everyone nodded ad walked upstairs.
"You know, Troy, you don't have to carry me anymore, I can walk upstairs on my own just fine." I clarified. Troy hesitated.
"You sure you can walk ?" Troy asked concerned. I sighed.
" Why does everyone keep thinking that I'm hurt ? I said I was fine. " I groaned, annoyed. Troy sighed. "I know sweetie, I know, I'm just making sure." I sighed.
"I know, I'm sorry. It just feels like no one is listening to me." I said, my eyes began to fill with tears. Troy sat down on the stairs and sat me next to him. He softly rubbed my leg and kissed my forehead, moving some hair behind my ear. My face was red and stained with tears. "Aww, Gabs, don't cry, it's okay." He tucked some more hair behind my ear as he lifted my chin up. "Hey, I'm listening to you, and I do care. Remember that." He whispered softly. He wiped my tears and I hugged him tightly.
"I love you." I said softly. Troy smiled brightly and kissed my nose, making me giggle.
"I love you too."
"Hey ! Are you guys coming ?" Chad shouted from upstairs. I looked at Troy and we both smiled. He shouted back."We'll be right there !" He held out his hand and I took it as he led me upstairs.
