Shit Luck

“OMG! You’re joking right, please for everything sweet, tell me you’re joking!” Nicole screeched while jumping around me and Hailey, I swear that girl has why too much energy to be considered safe.

“No I’m not. I apparently have the shittiest luck ever,” I say leaning back on my elbows trying to soak in the last rays of sun. The grass stuck up uncomfortably sticking to my arms and legs an annoyed sound escapes me as I shuffle my position. I look over at Nicole and Hailey who are both looking at me with a look that honestly, well it scared me.

They’re up to something.

“so you are telling us that the old hag put you and the hottest guy to ever grace this earth, which I may add you made out with, in the same room unsupervised for 3 days a week,”

“well, when you put it like that you make it sound so dirty and I only kissed him because you dared me to so stop bringing it up,” they both narrowed their eyes at me accusingly, me being the incredibly open person I am; completely ignore them and change the subject. “So I am thinking about the best way to get my revenge on the witch”

They might have seen they evil glint in my eye that I am totally sure is there. Okay definitely there when I take in the slightly terrified totally excited looks of my two best friends.

“What?” I shrug I a desperate attempt to down play my plan because... well to be blunt... I’m going to raise hell the summer.

“Okay Mitchie tell me... how bad is it going to be?” Hailey eyed me cautiously.

You would think I killed someone

“You almost did... remember Harry?”

Oh shit... did I really say that aloud that can’t be good?

“Come on, you both know it was an accident it was a total wrong place wrong time moment!” I sit up straight to defend my good queen of pranks name. Anonymous name. I’m pretty sure a total of 4 people know I was the one setting up water fights... among other things. Those people being Niki Hailey brad and unfortunately Mrs. Juniper.

“Yeah it was an accident that ended up with the poor kid going into antiphalatic shock, he was already terrified of summer camps I’m pretty sure you scarred him for life.”

“I wrote him a I’m sorry and please don’t die card,” I look down at my hands that were reeking havoc on the grass I was sitting on feeling a little guilty over the whole putting peanut butter in all the shoes left outside. It was perfectly innocent until the ambulance showed up.

They both shook their heads at me.  At the same time. Again. This is getting a little creepy

“Do you guys know that you two both keep doing that stuff at the same time,” I point out in an optimistic hope to change the subject. The creepy pair I call my friends just look at each other in some type of silent conversation.

 Oh no please don’t tell me they’re mind readers.

“Maybe,” they both reply, at the same time, again. I let out a sound of frustration before I jump up to tower above them.

“You two! Stop doing that,”

Niki rolled her eyes at me as Hailey slouch further into her chair.

“Fine,”

With that silence fell peaceful around as. As we all enjoyed the summer’s warmth soaking in the light and observing beautiful serenity around us.

Yep that lasted a total of 2 seconds.

“Okay so evil vengeful Mitchie how are you planning to inflict misery on the evil witch dictating your summer?” she asked ever so innocently. Little pointer when it comes to Niki she’s everything but innocent. That’s why I love her.

“Organised chaos,” I mutter making myself comfortable, not like I’m going to more anytime soon.

“You going to elaborate that vague statement or leave me on the edge of my seat,” I didn’t have to open my eyes to know that they were both looking at me. I could feel their eyes burning into my forehead not in a superman’s heat vision way but in a 'you're the hulk and I don’t want to be smashed way.' oh yeah feeling the love. Sorry for the superhero references.

“Don’t worry it has nothing to do with peanuts,” I sigh and cut out the part where I put peanut butter in Mrs. Junipers hair.
