Chapter 24: Welcome to Kai's Life

   Yoona's POV

   

       So, this is what it feels like, actually going out to a mall with a guy, and everyone you pass by  or make an eye-contact with, would probably stare or give you death glares ; especially passing by gossip girls, and seeing them whispering to each other, and staring at you.  That is my situation now, we were practically, inside a mall , where Kai had brought me to ; because he said that the restaurant the he loved was located there, so i couldn't refuse and agreed instead.  Tensely, i walked with a pounding heart, following Kai and thinking worriedly,  ' How far is that restaurant? seriously kai?? this is freaking embarrasing!  ohmo! what if people recognize me? ...Daisy told me not to let myself be recognize...ohmo! i better hide'.  So, basically i decided, the best way to avoid any recognition , was to hide behind kai. "Jimin~ssi Gwaenchanha? [ are you okay?] ", Kai asked me noticing, that i was behind him, I smiled and replied embarrassed,  "Ne~ Gwaenchanha [yes, im fine..] ".  He turned and faced me, stopping his tracks. I stopped walking too, and thats when he reassured me, "Are you sure? ", I nodded and we both continued walking, with me still hiding from behind. I guess the reason why , i was having such a rough day today, well, maybe it was because of the crowd..i mean too much people.

     "So, is this it?", I asked him and he just smirked at me as he went  first, and in my surpise, he opened the door for me , as he gestured silly-like, "Ladies first?". I headed in first, followed by him.  'Okay, this place is too luxurious!  ohmo..are we eating really eating here?', I thought to myself shockingly.  "Have a sit..", Kai gestured me again, he was being a gentleman,  but i think i liked him better, without acting all gentle.  "So, what would you want to eat?", Kai asked me, he seemed to be tensed.  I smiled and told him,"I'm not really sure... ". 'Wah! everything... here... looks delicious.. wait...what???' , I freaked out in my head, after seeing how much the food cost. I asked him feeling abit  worried, " Uh... kai , you sure you wanna eat here?", He looked at me and asked, "Wae? [why?] you don't like it?". I shrugged and said, "Ani~ uihajiga [ no, Its not that ] ", he stared at me deeply, and i replied,  "Isnt it too expensive here? , i mean... can you afford it?". Thats when, he started to giggle. All i thought was,  'Whats so funny? why is he laughing?'. He finally, stopped.

        "Its no big deal for me..", Kai smirked. I was so curious about what he had said, 'Is he rich? why would he say such a thing?'. " wae keun munjega aningayo?  [ why is it not such a big deal?]", I asked him, feeling worried about the bill. He just started smiling at me, as if i was a clown or something, 'aish! Jinjja! [ really!] whats so funny? i am not a clown..', I thought in my head, clueless. Kai cleared his throat and apologized, he must have noticed my uncomfortable expression, "Er... sorry, i mean, i thought you knew all along? " , I asked him feeling abit confused, "dangsineun mueoseul uimihabnikka?  [ what do you mean?]". He said, grinning this time,  " dangsineun jeongmal mollasseoyo? [ you really didnt know?] ". 'Why does he keep asking me?  what does it matter if i know or not?...is he hiding something? whats wrong?', I asked myself, feeling so curious , why Kai had acted so strange. "Nevermind, change of topics.. just choose what you want Jimin.. dont  worry, i have a gift card for two people... it'll help lessen the price.. " ,Kai told me, making me feel less worried. But, still- i was so curious ,I wanted to know what i didnt know.
