"Wait--let me get this straight...you want to give up this life of royalty, to be normal? "
I roll my eyes as she gestures towards the huge mansion we're in. Jess can be such a drama queen--er Princess actually.
"Jess, as my best friend, my soul mate, you should know I don't need any of this!"
I copy her hand movements and fix my puffy dress. Okay, so maybe I'm as much of a drama Princess as her but whatever.
"Scar.." She sighs softly and moves so her knees are touching mine and takes my hands in hers. "I'm worried that you'll get hurt. Living as a non-royal can be dangerous!"
I squeeze her hand and smile, "Jess, I'll be fine...I just need your help to convince my parents. I need a plan."
She lays down on my bed with her arms folded behind her bed. "Hmm. On what terms would your parents, King and Queen of The UK, agree to let their only heir leave?"
I sit down criss cross apple sauce style next to her and cover my legs with my long dress. "I don't know! Use that big brain of yours!" I laugh and she glares at me.
"Yeah , yeah..you're the talent and I'm the brains."
"Oh hush up, you're equally as talented at dancing, if not more!"
Jess doesn't acknowledge my compliment and we stay quiet for a while, conjuring up plans.
Suddenly, she pops up like a god-damnned pop-goes-the-weasel toy.
"What the heck, Jess?!"
"I just came up with the perfect plan." Her slightly evil grin causes my hands to grow sweaty and I give her an uneasy smile in return.
"What do you got?"
