Gavin drove us to the other side of campus. It's a huge campus, so yes, we don't want to walk. It was obvious we were in Greek Row. All the huge houses had Greek letters and there was people walking towards one specific house, which I assume is the Beta house. "Here we are," Gavin said as he parks the car. "I never got your names, by the way."

"I'm Ivette," I say as we get out of the car.

"And I'm Casey," Casey said.

"Are you both thinking of rushing?" he asks. Okay, people need to seriously stop asking that.

"I am, she's not," Casey answers. "I'm going to rush for Kappa."

"Wow, Kappa? Really?" Gavin laughs. "They're something else."

"What do you mean?" Casey frowns.

"You'll see for yourself," Gavin said.

We walk inside the large house where music blasted and people were already drinking and dancing.

"Amber!" Gavin shouts over the loud music. A girl who was in the kitchen with a red solo cup looks over at Gavin.

"What's up!?" She shouts back over the loud music.

"Meet Casey, she wants to rush Kappa!" Casey waves and Amber smiles motioning her to come to her. Casey looks over at me, unsure if she wants to leave me alone.

"It's okay," I say. "Go."

Casey smiles and made her way over to Amber. "You drink?" Gavin asks as he pours a bunch of different things into a red solo cup to create a concoction.

"No," I said shaking my head. I'm already beginning to feel uncomfortable.

"Do you want to drink?" He asks. To be honest, I've never had alcohol in my life. I know, it's hard to believe. I uses to see what it did to my parents so I would always stay away from it.

"No, I'm okay, thanks," I said. He nods.

"Do you want a soda? Juice? Water?" he laughs.

"I'll have a soda," I shrug.

I watch as Gavin walks over to the fridge and take a can of soda out. "Sprite okay?" I nod in return, taking the soda from his hand.

"Follow me," he said as he walks off with his red solo cup. I follow him because what else am I gonna do here? I follow him to the back yard where there wasn't as many people and the music wasn't as loud.

"Can't you guys get in trouble for this?" I ask, motioning inside the party.

Gavin laughs. "Yeah, but campus security knows how greek row can get. That's why they put us all the way on the other side of campus. Plus, if we get too loud, they usually just tell us to keep it down. When there's too many people, that's when they tell us to shut it down. So nothing major," he says, then takes a sip of his drink.

"Is this why you went Greek?" I smirk.

"For the parties?" He clarifies. I nod and he laughs. "No. I mean yeah. I mean, partially! My brother graduated from Berkeley as a Beta Omega Rho so I'm considered a legacy. He convinced me to join the whole brotherhood thing because we're from Oregon so I don't get to see my family much and by the time I was a freshman, he had just graduated and gone back to Oregon. I knew absolutely no one when I got here, so I rushed. Beta found out I was a legacy and immediately gave me priority. And yes, the parties are awesome too," he smiles at the last part.

"Wow," I said. "So you're a legacy?" I widen my eyes sarcastically.

Gavin laughs. "Yeah, be honored to be speaking to me."
