Ever wondered how to bunjee jump off of the Golden Gate Bridge? Simple, just believe in yourself and do it. Right? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to do it. Although, some of the consequences are pretty nerve-wrecking. I'm not a big fan of dying and I never will be but taking risks is all I do.
If I decide to do it then, totally avoiding the possibility of dying, I'm pretty much living up to my motto, Carpe Diem.
It's one of the few reasons why I live. Apart from my two best friends, Tarrah and Dimitri, oh and of course, my mother. I love them all so much and if I had to choose between them in a life and death situation, I'd choose death although there are those particular times when I feel the need to chop them up into tiny, little pieces and flush them down the toilet but I guess that's just how love works.
Then there's my love for animals. Especially for my Labrador, Ethan. He's amazing and quite obedient too. He always protects me from any danger even when that 'danger' is just Dimitri trying to play a prank on me. It's kind of funny when Ethan pounces on Dimitri and makes him feel like a small person, well smaller than he already is anyways considering he has the build of a thirteen year old girl but I love him nonetheless.
Then there's also Tarrah, who undoubtedly is fifty times stronger than Dimitri will ever be able to be. She IS a boxer after all, so she says though. She always bails on me and claims that she has to go off for boxing practice. If it weren't for the fact that Dimitri cannot even defend himself from even the slightest touch from Tarrah then I wouldn't have believed her one bit but she is my friend and I have to trust her.
So you see, the whole idea of jumping off of a bridge started when Dimitri lodged the idea into my brain so far down that it is now permanently stuck there. Take it from me, suggestions don't always help a situation when it comes to your friends. They would always somehow find a way to throw it right back in your face.
"Joanna, you have to do it." Dimitri pushed, bouncing up and down, evidently making the bed shake. I gripped the edges of the bed to stop me from bouncing along with him.
"Do what?" I asked, acting totally oblivious.
"BUMJEE JUMPING." He screamed, making his point.
"Jeez Dimitri, could you get any louder?" I asked.
"Yes, wanna see?"
"No thank you, just proves how mature you are." I rolled my eyes.
"Oh I am plenty mature for your information. And thank you for just crushing my dreams on being a professional screamer." He said as he slumped back against the headboard.
"First of all, I beg to differ. Second of all, there's no such thing as a screamer."
"Say's you." He mocked.
"No, say's everybody known to mankind."
"Okay, seriously, you two are getting on my nerves." Tarrah said as she pulled out the earphones from her ears. "I could hear you loud and clear even through these." She complained throwing her ear buds all the way across the room.
"Sorry," I sulked. "But anyways, I'm NOT going to bungee jump off of the Golden Gate Bridge. It's all the way in San Francisco Bay and we live in Phoenix. That's like 650 miles away, we'd never get to go." I explained.
"You're such a buzzkill. What happened to free-spirited Joanna? I want her back." Dimitri moaned like the kid he is.
I stood up off of the bed and started pacing the room, racking my brain for an answer as to what to do.
"Maybe your mum won't let you go but my parents will." Dimitri smirked. Clearly he didn't realise how stupid that sounded.
"Okay, YOU go have a great time In San Francisco while I wait here. Good luck trying to get me to jump off that bridge when I'm all the way here in Arizona." I said.
