Nathan was knelt in front of his enemy, Rafe. The crying sounds of the ship filled his ears as everything began to fade. A sharp sword rested in his abdomen, moving slightly everytime he took in a shaky breath. Warm, red liquid spilled from his mouth as he coughed. His attention moved from Rafe's bruised face to the object impaled into his mid half. Noticing the circumstances, Nathan looked over at his pinned down brother. Sam had awoken. Horror and fear littered his face as he called Nathan's name. Only, Nathan couldn't hear him. He only saw his older brother struggling and yelling words he couldn't understand. Rafe scoffed as he pulled the sword out of Nathan's mid half, causing him to step back. "Not such a legend anymore." Rafe spat with a satisfied smirk. Nathan gripped his sword tightly as he looked around. Even if he was going to die, he couldn't let Rafe live. With that thought, Nathan laid his eyes on a rope which was holding up a sack of treasures. He swung his weapon and cut the old rope, making the gold fall onto his old partner. Nathan collapsed on the burning wood, still gasping for air. "Nathan! Don't you dare fall asleep on me!" Sam yelled as he still struggled with the wooden beam on top of him. "Please! Nathan!" As he shouted more, an ash fell onto a cannon, causing it to blow a hole into the floor. Water flooded into the room which helped Sam escape his prison and get over to his bleeding brother. "Oh god" Sam muttered as he grabbed his younger sibling. As he did though, Nathan cried out in pain. "I know it hurts Nathan, but we gotta get out of here." Sam said, still lifting him up bridal style.

Sam swam as fast as he could. Nathan laid on Sam's back as he paddle towards land. Thankfully Elena was there to help. "Oh no.." She gasped. Nothing could have prepared her for the sight of her beloved husband. With the stab wound in his mid half, the dirt, soot and ash littered all over his clothes and body, and lastly, the blood oozing out of every hole connected to his face. It almost made him unrecognizable, but Elena knew her love to well. "Come on." Sam whispered, attempting CPR on his, dare I say it, dieing younger brother. Elena could only watch as she gripped his hand tightly and muted her sobs as much as possible. "Please" she muttered, bending down to plant a soft kiss on his bruised, yet tone cheek. After a half hour, Sam gave in to his tiredness and started to lightly cry himself. Taking his beloved brother's hand, he spoke softly, only wanting Nathan to hear it. "I'm sorry little brother, I should have listened to you, but I never do. It's because you've found lost cities before, nearly escaping death in the midst of if. I was blinded by jealousy and because of that, I've got you killed." A small chuckle seeped out of his dry mouth. "You really are Nate the great....I love you little brother." Rain spilled down on them as they grieved, Sully now beside Elena comforting her. Nothing would ever be the same now. No more corny jokes, Dangerous expeditions or awkward situations. That would never happen again, now that a great Thief had finally met his own end.

;-; why did I write this? Probably because I wanted cry and have my heart break. Swell. Hope you guys enjoyed this story ❤️. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be in the corner glueing my heart back together while crying all the fluids out of my body ;-;.
