Preference- "I Need You" doesn't always mean that way...

Zayn: He has feelings, just like every other human on Earth does, and when the fans are calling him racist things, he breaks badly. The only person that can fix him is you when he gets like this, because he has moments. Those times where he can't seem to get a grip on his life. Those moments where he feels so distant from everyone, it's almost like he's on another universe. You have the power to bring him back, and he always thanks you when he comes back to being himself.

Niall: He may be different from the other boys in One Direction, being the only Irish one, but that doesn't make him less of a person. They all share the same talent, and he shouldn't be talked about negatively, because he's different. Each one of the boys has their differences. He'll come home from recording nearly in tears every day, and you're the only one that he wants around. You'll hold him until he stops crying, and once he does, straight to the kitchen he goes.

Liam: He may seem like Mr. Serious when it comes to the band, but anytime else, he's just as crazy as the others. He wants to have fun, but still be successful in One Direction. He'll come home completely wiped out, and somehow, when he sees you, his energy perks back up, and he's crazy, laughing at everything, running around. He seems to want to have fun, but when it's time to be serious, he's into it like no one else.

Louis: He's always spontaneous, but when Management gets on his case, he always runs all the way home, usually with Liam- the track star of the five- right on his trail. He'll run inside, shut the door, run to your room, where he usually finds you, then jumps up, crying his eyes out, because "Management are being mean to me." No matter what, you never find an excuse not to hold him, or make him go back to recording, so he usually falls asleep after a good, hard hour's cry.

Harry: Because Larry Stylinson rumors are spreading like wildfire, he and Louis both are affected. He takes it harder, because he knows that you would be mad if he were to go bisexual on you. He wants to be best friends with Louis, but not any closer, and you're alright with that. He'll come from the the coffee shop in tears, and you'll drink coffee with him, telling him sweetly that if he knows that it's not true, then he shouldn't listen to it. He knows that, but sometimes, the fans are a bit pushy and they know what to say and when to say it, just to make him like this.

Lesson- When your boy/girlfriend says "I need you," don't automatically think that they want "that way." Maybe they just need someone to hold them, hang out with them, etc.
