Chapter 7~Something Horrifying

Alexa's POV

The village was on fire. It was terrible. I saw Garroth, Laurence, Dante, Aaron, and some others frantically trying to put the fire out. I ran up behind Aaron, and asked him "What happened?!?"

He turned around. "Alexa, you shouldn't be here! Go to The Island. You'll be safe there!" He yelled still tying to put out the fire. "What do y-" I started to say something but a hand covered my mouth.

"You failed Alexa. So I had to take matters into my own hands." A voice sneered. Zane. I squirmed and tried to get loose. But for the love of Irene I couldn't.

I tried and tried. Aaron couldn't help, guards had surrounded him. 'That's it. Go get 'em Arella!' I said to my Angel. She didn't respond. 'Arella?' I asked. 'Sorry to disappoint!' Myra my Demon said. 'Go away!' I yelled at her.

'No can do!' She said. She decided she was going to take over. She still hates me, but that's what she does. A bright flash of red emitted. When the light subsided I was my demon.

Zane backed off, so did everyone else. Even Aaron. I threw a fireball at Zane, just barely missing. I threw some at guards and hit every single one. I wanted to stop.

But Myra wouldn't allow it. Zane and the rest of his living guards ran off terrified. 'Go Away Myra!!' I yelled to her. 'Fiiiiine! But only for a bit :)' she said. I looked around after I turned back, I had done more damage than Zane.

Everyone looked terrified. Kawaii~Chan and Dante were holding Dmitri and Nekoettes hands, keeping them away. All the children were obviously terrified. I looked to Aaron, he was scared as well.

I turned in circles, then ran off. People parted as I ran near them. I ran to the Irene Statue atop the hill. I sat on the edge looking toward the ocean. For some reason songs seem to pop into my head. No idea why though. I sang aloud to the one that popped into my head.

They send me away to find them a fortune
A chest filled with diamonds and gold

The hallways they echoed and groaned

I sat alone, in bed 'til the morning

And I tried to hold these secrets inside me

"Please stop, you're scaring me."

Goddamn right, you should be scared of me
Who is in control?

I paced around for hours on empty
I jumped at the slightest of sounds
And I couldn't stand the person inside me
I turned all the mirrors around

I'm bigger than my body
I'm colder than this home

I'm well acquainted
With villains that live in my bed

I sat in silence, replaying the events over and over in my head. I never seem to be able to control them. They just choose for me. It's annoying. "Alex?" A voice said behind me. Only one person called me Alex.

It was Aaron. "Hey." I said quietly. He came an sat down next to me. "You okay?" He asked. I just nodded. "That song says otherwise." He said. "Y-you heard me?!?" I asked a bit panicked.

He smiled, "It was hard not to, the village is silent right now. I'm pretty sure everyone heard you." He said. "Great! Just Great! My mom heard! My brothers! Lilith! My friends! You! I could go on!" I said sarcastically. I put my face in my hands.

"Alex....What's the matter?" He asked. "I thought you said you listened to the song!" I said, he chuckled. I glared at him. He stopped laughing.

I stood up about to leave. "Ok! Sorry! Lighten up a bit. Have some fun!" He said trying to make me feel better. "What is fun?" I asked. "This." He simply said. I looked at him confused. Then he pushed me over the cliff into the water below. I screamed. I didn't know how to swim! I did but didn't.

Not anymore. It's strange, I swam in that river but it must have been enchanted because now I can't swim anymore. I hit the water and blacked out.

Aaron's POV

I had pushed Alexa in the water. She hit it but hasn't resurfaced. "Alexa!" I called out getting worried. No response. "Alexa?!?!!" I yelled again.

Aphmau came up running behind me. "Aaron? What's wrong?!" She asked frantically. "Can Alexa Swim?!" I asked. She looked worried. "Not since she escaped form Zane in a river!" She said. I quickly  jumped in the water after her.

I'm so stupid! I hit the water an surfaced. Took a deep breath and dove under. I swam deeper and deeper until I saw her body floating down slowly. I grabbed her and swam back up.

When I surfaced I swam to the beached area. She wasn't breathing. I tried giving her CPR. When it didn't work I decided I needed to give her Mouth to Mouth. (I had to. She is Aphmaus daughter.) I breathed into her mouth and prayed to Aphmau/Irene. She coughed up water and was breathing heavily. "A-Aaron?" She asked quietly.

"Alexa! Your okay!" I hugged and she smiled. I kissed her forehead. She passed out again. But she was still breathing. I picked her body bridal style and took her to the house I had been building.

I decided to live in the village and not the woods. I laid her in my bed and waited.
