He has a collection of muggle band tees that he wears a lot, and he never leaves the house without his untied black converse high tops.

One shot: It was Friday night and Teddy couldn't sleep. He lay sprawled across a chair in the Hufflepuff common room, warming his feet in front of the fire. He couldn't stop thinking about her, the way her blonde hair bounced across her shoulders when she laughed, the way her blue eyes sparkled mischievously when she pulled a successful prank. But he couldn't date her, she was the niece of his godfather! Even if she wasn't, there was no way someone as amazing as her would go out with someone like him.

Time skip

He woke up the next day with a neck cramp from sleeping on the couch. He dragged himself up to his dorm, and got dressed. He trudged down to breakfast with his friends, pretending he was fine, when on the inside there was a tornado of hormones and feelings and god knows what else.

After stuffing his face with chocolate chip pancakes, he went to the lake for his weekly DADA tutoring session with Victoire. Even though she was two years younger than him, she was smart enough to help him with his essays. He dreaded it, always making a fool of himself in front of the girl he had been crushing on for two years.

"Hey Teddy!" exclaimed Victoire when she saw him. She threw her arms around him in a quick but breathtaking hug. Her blonde locks were tied up in a messy bun, and her blue orbs sparkled. "How's it going? Fall down the stairs again?"

"For your information, Vic, I went this whole week without tripping. Unless you count spilling my ink bottle over my Charms homework."

She chuckled. She opened her book. "So, what do you need help with?"

For the next half hour, they studied and revised his essay. Teddy couldn't really pay attention, and kept zoning out, imagining what it would be like if she liked him back.

"Teddy?" Victoire asked, sounding annoyed. "If I'm really that boring, ask someone else to help you. I'm tired of tutoring someone who doesn't care.

He snapped out of his reverie. "No no it's not that, Vic. It's just...." He faltered, not knowing what to say next.

Her eyes flashed. "It's just what?" she snapped.

Teddy gulped. "It's just... your voice is really soothing and I didn't get much sleep last night. I was just tired." He mentally slapped himself. What a stupid thing to say!

She blushed. "You think my voice is soothing?"

"Yeah, I guess." Teddy couldn't quite meet her eyes, and instead focused on ripping apart the grass.

She fought back a smile. "Ted, you really need to pay more attention, or else you're going to fail." she scolded.

Teddy was relieved that she didn't say anything else about the subject. He spent the rest of the afternoon studying with Victoire, and when the Defense Against the Dark Arts quiz came, he aced it.
