Chapter 2: Babysitying Part 1

Ring ring

I picked up my phone and answered it.

It was my mom even though I just got off the bus and started walking home and I just texted her she called me.

Sweetie you home yet? Asked my mom.

Almost, like 20 more feet. I replied.

Well I need you to watch your Brother while I'm gone. My mom said.

Ok mom, I will. I said as I walked a little more faster.

I left a note on the back of the front door, it will tell you what he needs. My mom said as she hung up.

2 minutes later I was on my doorstep and when I opened the door my mom was in the kitchen. She saw me and hugged me.

I peeled off the note and read it.

Read for 5 minutes
Dinner in microwave
Bed at 8:00

The list was really short. I thought it was gonna be longer. I went upstairs to his room and he was looking through his bookshelf for a book to read. He soon found one and flopped on bed and started reading. I went downstairs and popped some popcorn for a movie and gave a bit to my brother. He was a good brother.

I turned the TV and watched "Mean Girls". I like it but I hate it at the same time. Soon the doorbell rang when I just got comfortable.

I answered the door and it was Josh Jordans.

What is Josh doing here? He is supposed to be at the basketball game. I thought.
