A/N: well, I'm not officially dead. But Nogla's face in the background made my day. And also, I'm not a doctor, so everything is probably wrong.

Another day of heists flew by for the Banana Bus Crew. More injuries were sustained, making the poor woman who was always worried for their safety work harder. An infection in a wound could mean that one of the boys would have to go to the hospital, and that meant being arrested by the cops who were still searching for the criminals.
So far, if the woman had been counting correctly, David was the one who always came back with the most injuries after every heist. It was as if the rest of the men had thrown him out before them, allowing him to get shot in every non-vital spot possible. The anger that overtook her every time they walked through the door bragging about how much they made, with David limping through last, completely snapped the one day that they failed a heist.
They had burst through the door, yelling at each other angrily, while Lui was dragging in David's limp body, forcing everyone out of the way as he made his way to the small infirmary that they kept.
"(Y/N)! David needs surgery- like, right now!" Lui yelled, dropping out of his squeaker voice.
The said woman dashed out of her office, her eyes set on the man that was being hauled in and onto the table. Her eyes held worry and anger, yet she said nothing as she started an IV in his arm, then moved on to getting him hooked up to life support. His shirt was already open, revealing the bullet wounds that he had sustained in his chest and stomach.
Reader's POV
My hands had started to shake, my breathing increasing rapidly. I forced myself not to freeze up, continuing on with the procedures that had become a part of my life ever since I started working for the wanted criminals.
Lui stood at the door, pacing and not letting the rest of them in, knowing I would surely lose my temper this time. By the time I had finished, the yelling outside had stopped, leaving it eerily quiet. I tightly wrapped the bandages (with Lui's help), exhaling for what seemed like the first time since David had been brought to me. His vitals looked fine now, which was a relief, yet he hadn't opened his eyes to tell one of his corny jokes, or tell me not to worry because he'd be perfectly fine.
I hadn't noticed the tears that had started to run down my face until Lui hugged me and offered me a few tissues. I buried my face into his chest, silently letting all of my anxiety and fear for David out.
"Hey, he's fine now, isn't he? You fixed him up he'll wake up in a bit." He ran his fingers through my hair in a comforting manner as I calmed down and nodded.
"He's fine, you're right, he's fine now." Though it was mainly directed at myself, he nodded and left the room, no doubt going to yell at them for me- though they'd have to face my wrath later on when I wasn't watching David.
"You big idiot. Why do you always do this to me? Why does it seem as though you always come back with the most injuries when the rest of them have none? Please be more careful, David. I don't know what I'd do if I lost you- or any of them for that matter. Damn it all to hell. I love you, you asshole, wake up, please." I held his hand in my own, lightly kissing his cheek as my voice faded to a whisper. My eyes closed, and to someone outside of the situation, it would have looked like I was praying for the man.
"I love you too. Maybe I shouldn't try to get myself injured just to be around you, though." His deep voice seemed to resonate throughout the room, making my eyes snap open. He smiled at me, making me blush immensely.
"You idiot. I'm not here just for your bodily health, but also your state of mind. Please don't hurt yourself again. And we're a thing now, I'm stealing your heart permanently, criminal." I smirked at the end as he gave me a sly smile.
"As long as I'm out making money with the boys, you can keep my heart locked away for the rest of my life, beautiful." He lightly laughed at the end, caressing my face.
"Now, since you're awake, I have some lovely little boys to go yell at." I smiled, yet at the same time a dark aura surrounded me as I pushed the door open, leaving David alone in my small "hospital" room. There was no way that they were getting out of this one.
