Matty sat across from Dakota as he patched up her hand. She watched him as they both sat in silence.
"What happened?" Matty finally asked.
"Detective Eddie Thawne. I killed him to save Barry. To save everyone. In doing so the Reverse Flash was erased from existence because they were distant relatives." Dakota explained not taking her eyes off of her hand. "He was disguised as Harrison Wells."
She let Matty finish up her hand before walking into the Cortex.
"We're going for a drink. You wanna come?" Barry asked.
"No I'll stay." Dakota glared at Wells. "I promise I won't kill him."
"I'll go. I can bring something back for ya." Matty suggested following them out.
Jitters
The three men stood in the long line just for coffee.
"Dude when I said let's go out for a drink I didn't mean a latte." Cisco snapped rubbing his temples. "I meant alcohol. Mind-numbing alcohol."
"Just give him a chance. He's not a speedster. Just a guy from another universe." Barry nudged him.
"Never thought I'd miss time travel." Cisco grumbled.
"Time travel huh?" Patty said behind them.
Matty smiled and moved so the others could see her.
"Is there a metahuman that can time travel?" Patty continued.
"No but that would be pretty cool!" Cisco replied nervously.
"Hey did you hear I was right about King Shark?" Patty asked. "He almost ate the Flash."
Matty smirked, "I'm sure he had it handled."
"I saw the whole thing but then this hooded guy saved his life." She looked down at her phone. "Gotta skip the coffee. Captain needs me to write my report. Do you want to write it with me?"
"I...uh...can't...I have science stuff to do...sorry..." Barry said.
She smiled, nodding and left Jitters in a hurry.
"You didn't tell Dakota about King Shark did you?" Matty whirled on Barry.
"No...I did not..." Barry murmured. "It's just...she was happy. She was sleeping and I didn't want to bug her." He paused as they moved further up the line. "Has she talked to you...about anything? She might open up to you because you're her partner."
"No, why?" Matty raised an eyebrow.
Barry grinned slightly, "We're not even married yet and we've consummated at least five times. I mean, mind-blowing sex. I am so in love with her right now. She's...she's...amazing..."
Matty chuckled, "Oh my god..."
"It's this amazing sex craze that she's on and it's just....wow."
STAR Labs
"Her name is Doctor Light." Wells began as Barry was being checked over. "Low key thief until the particle accelerator gave her the chance to derive power from starlight."
Cisco smirked, "Oh very cool."
"Stars have a temperature of 5,300 Kelvin and a blinding luminosity. So 'not very cool at all'." Wells snapped.
"You know our Doctor Wells may have been evil but you're just a douche." Dakota growled crossing her arms. "But it's obvious that Zoom brought her here to kill Barry."
"Now that we know that we can use it to our advantage." Wells pointed out. "We can lure Zoom here, using her."
"You are insane!" Jay shouted coming into the room. "We're not luring Zoom anywhere!"
"Apparently they know each other and Jay is not a fan." Caitlyn said clarifying for anybody.
"It's not the worst idea." Dakota shrugged and moved next to Barry.
"Well well well. Like everyone else I thought Earth 2 Flash was dead. Why am I not surprised to find Jay Garrick alive and in hiding a full universe away from Zoom." Wells narrowed his eyes, clearly not happy.
"I wasn't hiding. Zoom almost killed me, stole my speed until the breach pulled me here." Jay explained to him.
"Is that right?" Wells raised his eyebrow.
"Yeah, that's right." Jay snapped.
"Well in your absence, Zoom has only gotten stronger, faster. Barry you have to defeat him now while you still can." Wells insisted.
"This isn't the time to be reckless." Jay argued. "We don't even know why he sent Doctor Light here. She's a thief, not a killer."
"Zoom can make you do anything out of character." Wells pointed out. "Thief or not she'll kill you."
Barry interjected, "Alright we can deal with that later. First we have to find her."
