Monday, 2.30p.m.
They have been waiting for half an hour and the bus is still nowhere to be seen. Impatience settles within the group when FINALLY the bus arrives. It's a big grey bus with the word "Aurore" printed on it. It makes a turn towards the school and within seconds, everyone is on their feet, luggage once again in their hands and start rushing towards the bus. The bus comes to a stop. The students load their luggage into the bus and start to enter while one of the teachers collects their passports and identity cards. When everyone is in the bus, the driver makes an announcement : "Hello everybody! My name is Cedric. I will be your driver until we reach the border tonight. But before we leave, there are some rules you need to know. Eating in the bus is not allowed, all your bags must be in the overhead compartment or with the luggage below. Do not keep them under your seats for safety reasons, seatbelts must be fastened at all times when the bus is moving, and lastly, remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop. We will be leaving in a few minutes. Now sit back, relax and get comfortable because this is going to be a long journey." And then they're off, headed towards Rome.
