*Two Weeks Later*
The school had been plastered with Homecoming Dance posters, Jade and Gracie were currently on shift for putting them up. Perrie walked down the halls, hand in hand, with Zayn, "So, I'm thinkin' you wear that pretty blue dress with the black belt, and I'll wear my black tux with the blue tie, yeah, little color cordination?" He asks, nudging her with their intwined hands. "Yeah, sure babe." Perrie said mindlessly, walking down the hall, until they saw Jade and Grace, sharing a laugh and Jade had her hand on Grace's waist whispering something in her ear with an amused smile and the other girl bursts out in laughter and then she heard Jade say, "See, at first I didn't get it but now it makes total sense!" and she knows it's the joke she told her a couple weeks ago.
"Liam's talkin' about askin' Jade out to the dance and on a date, what do you think?" Zayn asks when he notices her starring at Jade, who doesn't notice her, as they walk past them. Perrie feels a pang of insecurity in her, Jade had been spending so much time away from her lately she was beginning to worry. What if she's found some one better than me? What if she doesn't even like me anymore? What if she's been hooking up with Liam behind my back? Or Grace? What if she's just slowly distancing herself from me? Jesus fuck stop Perrie. She scolds herself, You should trust her, she's the big secret you're hiding from everyone, you're the one cheating on your boyfriend, she should be worrying about you. But she's not because she trusts you.
Perrie just shakes her head, " I don't think he's her type," She whispers looking at the ground. Zayn sighs, "C'mon be opptimistic, don't be a priss, let the boy try." Zayn says. Perrie just nods, It wouldn't work out anyways, well, if Jade were straight. She feels herself smile.
"Hey guys," Liam says and he's with Harry and Louis and Niall. "Hey, wanna go ask Jade now, she's putting up the poster for homecoming, which means she's going, she has to, y'know how Hannah is." Zayn says and Perrie's smile is slowly fading and she looks up at Niall, he gives her a sympathetic look. "O-Okay, I'm gonna do it," Liam says, pepping himself up, " I'm going to ask Jade Thirlwall out to homecoming." He begins walking over to her and Perrie let's go of Zayn's hand, crossing them, selfishly hoping she says no.
"Uh, hey Jade." Liam says in a breath, wiping his sweaty nervous palms on his jeans. Jade tapes the flyer to the and turns around, a pencil in her mouth and tape in her hands, she takes the pencil out and sticks it inbetween her ear, "Hey, Li." She smiles, turning around. "Uh, so you obviously know, homecoming is 'round the corner and I was.. I was uh wonderin' if you wanted to go with me?" He asks hopefully, his big brown eyes sparkling.
"Me? Aw, Liam, I'm flattered really but I.." Jade begins until she looks into Liam's eyes and sees sadness beginning to settle in because he's being rejected, she shoots Perrie a sorry look, "I'm flattered," Jade says and then the simple movement of her head nodding she finishes, "I'll go." she says and Liam smiles, hugging her tightly that her breath is knocked out and she feels Liam crushing her bones, "Thank you, thank you so much Jade, God I've liked you for a long, Jesus Christ I just so happy!" He says and then he kisses her out of no where and she's completely still, but she feels Liam not letting go and realizes he wants her to kiss back so she does and Liam's less forcefull, his lips are soft and plump, and they taste of strawberry and that makes Jade smile because it's similar to Perrie's lipgloss.
Liam smiles pulling away, "I'll see you in lunch, Babe." He says and he walks away, giving the boys a high-five and walking to class. "That was..." Grace says unable to describe what she saw, "Dramatic and fake, Jade, seriously?" Grace laughs. "What was I supposed to say Gracie?! He looked like he was going to cry!" Jade groans. "Was he at least a good kisser?" Grace laughs and Jade nods, "Surprisingly, yeah." She giggles and Perrie hears her as she walks back to the quad with Zayn and she momentarily freezes, Fuck, am I losin' her?
