>> Masons POV <<

A surge of guilt ate at me, glancing at Taiya I filled my cheeks with air and held it. I felt small cold fingers trace my arm down to my hand till they intertwined with mine, grimancing I looked over at Tai and smiled, watching as her eyes softened and her lips curl into the meek smile I loved. Pulling her hand up to my mouth I kissed each fingertip lovingly, a nagging voice sounded in my head, bitching at me for putting her through this. I quickly shook my head, a frown pulling at my lips, sighing again I pulled into the schools parking lot before parking. Leaning back in my seat I glanced at her, "You ready, Princess?" I mumbled, my eyes travling towards the school building.

"Not really." She murmured quietly, the sound of her soft velvetly voice always causing havoc in my heart. Lifting my hand I cupped her cheek and looked into her deep brown eyes and immediately felt guilty again.

"Let's go, anyway." I smiled teasingly, knowing that she'd take the bait. A look of determination filled her eyes. Nodding she stepped out of the car.

"Let's go." She held her head high and stomped toward the entrance of the school. I chuckled and followed behind her as she made her way towards the main office. Opening the door I slid in after Tai and looked around. A chubby middle aged woman appeared infront of us, a wide welcoming smile on her thin lips.

"Here for enrollment, I take it." She tilted her head curiously before noticing the forms in our hands. "Ah, thought so." She ushered us toward a large wooden desk before plopping down into the chair behind it.

"We're both enrolling." Tai chirped. Making the lady look up and smile.

"I figured, but I'll handle both of you, you're the first ones today. I'm Mrs. Hawkings. Or if its simpler call me Mrs. H, doesn't matter much to me." She turned to Tai, "and what is your name, Dearie?"

"Taiya Marie Lovette, I was born in December, the 25th to be exact." She answered the next questions easily and soon her enrollment process was done.

"Welcome to Evergreen High School, Miss. Lovette." Mrs. H then turned to me, her mouth about to open before I cut her off with my name.

"Mason Eric Miller." She nodded and typed in my name and a little later I was officially a student of Evergreen high too. Thanking her, I pulled Tai from her seat so that we could go home.

"That went better than I expected," she beamed. "Last year of high school. It'll be fun and filled with memories." She gazed lovingly at me and the nagging voice returned, scowling as I got lost in my thoughts, I'll tell her later. I reassured myself. Looking back at her i began to think of a way to tell her without hurting her feelings.

Stopping in front of her house she leaned over and pressed a kiss to my lips. I watched as she walked up to the house and as soon as she disappeared I banged my head against the steering wheel. And groaned. I'm so dead.
