My cheeks burned with embarrassment as I pushed past the large group of people, stumbling my way.

I ran outside and the cold air hit me, I was so confused.

Ty liked me?

She didn't even know me and other than that she tried to make everyone hate me.

I didn't know what to do, yeah I liked Derek.. ... Much more than I should have.

But I felt uneasy.

This changed everything.

I didn't like Ty but..

What if I did?

Wait.

No.

I'm not saying there's a possibility that I could but..
My mind wouldn't stop imaging different scenarios..

what if..

Nevermind.

A warm arm, wrapped around my waist as I leant against the pillar.

"You okay?"

It wasn't Derek.

"Oh hey.. Sammy" I smiled.

I turned to face him, so it was less awkward.

"It's crazy in there, I mean everyone's talking.. talking about.."
He slowed the pace of his words and blushed when he looked back up at me.

"Sorry.. Uh, well not everyo-"

"It's whatever" I faked another smile.

"What are you gonna do?"

I was clueless.

"I mean.. Do you like Ty now?"

"No.. No not at all," I forced another smile.

I turned around to look at the passing cars in the distance.

"Where's Derek?" He asked walking next to me.

"I don't know.. " I whispered.

"But aren't you two.. Like 'a thing'" he said peering into my eyes.

"I guess so..aren't you and stassie, 'a thing'"
I nudged him.

"Yeah," he smiled,

"You two are the cutest, you know?"  I teased.

"You think I'm cute?!" He sarcastically gasped.

"Ew you?... Nah" I rolled my eyes,
"But stassie... we will see, I've had this effect on girls recently, as you can tell" I joked

"But you know, it's early days for all of us, there's nothing wrong with.. I wouldn't tell Derek.. If you.. And me.. "
