Intro
Man, I hate Mondays. But nowadays they're not considered the worse day of the week anymore. They're the same as every other day of the week. Complete shit. Having to deal with these brain dead, maggot addicts on a daily basis just makes my week. These monsters just walk around destroying people's lives, and it's my job to stop them. Well, our job. I'm part of a patient extraction team, codenamed Trauma. We are in Division 2. There are a total of four Divisions:
Division 1: The Commandos
They're the elite tactical units. Basically the soldiers sent out to take out the undead. I never really liked these guys, they always act like they're all that just because they deal with death on a daily basis. They get dropped into battle and clear out the area. They're well-trained soldiers, I'll admit, but I still think they're assholes.
Division 2: The Trauma Units
That's us. As I said before, we're the patient extractors. When there's someone that needs extracting, you better bet your ass we'll be there. When there's someone being attacked by the undead, we get them out of there and bring them back to a safe camp where they'll remain unharmed and taken care of. Of course we come after or while Division 1 is there taking out the walkers. They kill, we extract. Simple as that.
Division 3: The Researchers
These eggheads are scientists that try to find a cure for this disease. They dissect and work with the dead undead. They also create new tools and weaponry for the rest of the Divisions. That's... basically all they do. Day in and day out, science.
Division 4: The Hazmat Units
I think these guys are pretty cool, they get to play with acid all day long! They take care of a special type of walker, we call them Oozers. Oozers, as their name suggests, ooze acid all over the place, which is extremely dangerous to humans. It melts off the parts of your body that it touches. The Hazmats wear this yellow suit that protects from the acid. The Researchers created the suits using some kind of material that is acid proof.
And those are all the Divisions. There is one more group I didn't mention, but I don't really need to go into much detail with them. It's HQ, they just tell the rest of us what to do and where to go. They keep an eye on this city. Well...what's left anyway. There are other cities with other HQ's, which our HQ keep in contact with. We all keep each other safe. I know what you're thinking. "What?! Humanity is working together?!" Yeah I know, I'm just as surprised as you. When the outbreak started and everything went to shit, humanity actually decided to help one another and to stay together. But don't get me wrong. There are still plenty of assholes out there. For example: The Commandos.
Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Christian Irigoyen. My team calls me Iguana. We all have codenames. All 4 of us. My team consists of: Jordon, our fearless leader (we call him Cap), Andrew, our explosives expert (we call him Bomb. He's also my younger brother), Sky, our sniper (we call her hotshot), then there's me, I'm the medic of our group. I carry these special syringes with some kind of healing liquid in them. I don't know what it is exactly, the Researchers created it.
Well, now that I've told you all that, let us jump into the story.
