Libra sighed dramaticly as she stared at the book she was reading. It was her "self study time" and she wanted to go out and find a party somewhere.

I don't get it?! Libra thought, Why would the priest say that I was the rightful heir to this kingdom? I hate studying! I have zero traits that will please this God! Hell, I can't even live up to the expectations! And why did the author of this book choose to paint her in those clothes?! And to a party, of all things! Who thought it was-

Her thoughts were interrupted by a large explosion. She looked up briefly to see one of the many bookshelves start to collapse on her. Panicked, she ran towards the doors, allowing the bookshelf to not fall on her, but on to the other bookshelves and eventually all of them on to the floor.

Upon reaching the door, however, she discovered that the door would not open. She pulled and pulled and the doors would not budge, it was almost as if someone did not want her to escape.

The room's light suddenly went out all at once, and a mysterious blue glow appeared in the middle on top of the fallen bookshelves.

Libra's eyes widened at the sudden change in the atmosphere. She shivered; the temperature fell rapidly in only a few seconds. She slowly turned around and saw a woman hovering above the ground.

Libra couldn't distinguish the features of the person. All she could see was how tattered the unidentified person was. Her clothes were ripped, and Libra could see scars and bruises on her bare skin. When she looked at her face, her eyes were downcast and all she could see was her lips quirking up into a smile.

Libra backed up until she felt her back hit the door. Her eyes widened as these black tentacles shot out at her and surrounded her in a terrifying darkness. But unlike the one she was just in, this one felt warmer and safer.

It felt like a hot spring, and she was tempted to close her eyes and just give in.

That's when the door burst opened and she heard her name.

"Libra!" It was King Virgo. Virgo took his sword and slashed through the magic that Libra was inside.

Libra woke for her trance and immediately ran to the opening in the magic surrounding her.

A ghastly scream was heard from the center of the room. The pair looked over to see the mysterious females kneeling, clutching where her heart would be. She looked up at the pair, one of her eyes now visible, and it was a terrifying sight to see.

The glare that was made with the one eye sent both of their hearts racing, and the felt an ominous chill run down their spine as the temperature dropped colder and colder. The eye looked very similar to a snake's eye, while holding some characteristics of a human's eye. The pupil was a black diamond, where as a human's pupil would be round. The iris was completely human like, with a dark purple glow that seemed to lure in prey to its mysteriousness. The most bone chilling part was the sclera of the eye, which was completely black.

The oppressive atmosphere only lasted two long minutes as guards came rushing in. The figure disappeared as what can only be described as black fire.

There was silence for a moment, then another.

The silence was quickly interrupted by the sound of one of the guards dying. The clatter of his weapon sent an echo down the corridors. The strangling noises he made were unable forgettable to the people near him.

The fallen weapon rose with a mysterious blue aura as it maneuvered itself straight into the guard's heart, ending his suffering. The group was to shocked to move as the weapon removed itself, dropping the body on the floor. The blood seeped out of the guard and flowed onto the wall forming letters.

When the blood stopped flowing out of the dead man, a sentence could be read.

It read, "This is ONLY the beginning..."

A loud gasp was heard as Libra fainted into the arms of Virgo.

Virgo paced back and forth in his secret room, where only he and all the former kings and queens were ever told about. A transparent figure of Sagittarius was observing him from the center of his specific summoning circle.

"This has really been puzzling," the king said, "I can't understand this. The thing killed one of the guards without ever touching him, and I don't think it was even in the vicinity of the room when it vanished. There is no existing way to become invisible, and-"

Sagittarius cut him off, "You shouldn't over work yourself about this too much. You'll need the strength for later, and if you use it now, you won't have it for when you most need it. Anyway, I can deduce what happened, but it's better you don't know."

"What is it?" Virgo asked.

"It might be-" Sagittarius shook his head, cutting himself off, "No, it's impossible. The other option would be someone used a special type of cloak to hide themselves, that's the only option for the moment."

Virgo nodded, understanding that his God did not want to talk about the impossible option, but he kept it in the back of his mind for later usage.

"I'm just stressed," Virgo admitted, "Upon all things, I really don't like being kept in the dark."

Sagittarius nodded in understanding, "Don't worry. Once this is cleared up I'm sure you'll find light in the situation. In the mean time, you should meet up with the others for their opinion on the matter. Hopefully they have some experience on the matter."

"You always know what to do," Virgo chuckled, "Even if you say you don't."

"It comes with experience, but you should always know some way to diffuse a situation, even if it's only for a little while. I just hope there aren't very many casualties this time."

"Casualties?"

"You do remember the war that happened a thousand years ago, right?"

"Of course I do," Virgo replied, "I've studied it in depth and produced my own book about it."

"There are things about that war that made history into today," Sagittarius sighed, "I lost my family because of it, and our relationship was never the same. This time, however, it's a different enemy, and uniting the kingdoms would be beneficial to us and the other two."

"I see," Virgo nodded towards him sympathetically. He had no siblings and his parents died at a young age, so he had no idea what it was like to lose your siblings and being forced to kill them.

"Sagittarius," He called his attention, "Is there something you're hiding from me?"

Sagittarius smirked, "You'll learn that the things I hide are for good reason, and this thing in particular is a very, unstable, topic. I might tell you if the situation demands it."

"Of course, my lord."
