Pure Adrienette

Chapter One: Whoops!

It was a sunny day for Marinette, the little baker and her parents decided to go for a walk in the park.

"Sweetie, stop walking backwards, you can get hurt, along with other people!" Marinette was about to respond but she fell with an 'oomf'. She looked up at the boy, blonde hair, green eyes. "I'm sorry." The boy looked down in shame. "It's ok, I'm Marinette." She stood up and the boy looked at her. "I'm Adrien." Marinette sees two people, running towards Adrien. 
"Adrien, what did we tell you about running off." The woman who seems to be his mother scolded him. "I am so sorry young lady." Before Marinette could answer the man who seems to be his dad, Marinettes mom and dad walk up to him. "It's no problem at all Mr..." He smiles. "Agreste, call me Gabriel." Marinettes parents automatically light up. "Nice to meet you Gabriel, this is my husband Tom, and my daughter Marinette, and my name is Sabine." Marinette waves politely. "Hello Mr. Agreste." He chuckles at her cuteness. "Hello Marinette, I see you have met Adrien." She smiles. "Yeah, he's very nice, and kind." Adrien hearing this blushes. "Can I play with him?" Gabriel smiles. "Of course." Marinette smiles as a 'thank you' and runs off to Adrien. "Adrien! You wanna play?" Adrien looks up at her, and smiles boldly. "Yeah!"
   The duo played constantly almost every day. With funny promises, but not as much as this one. "Mari! If I grow taller than you like this... You'll marry me?" Marinette laughs. "If the time comes 'Shortie'." "Hey!"  
    With each passing day, the duo couldn't be separated, but. Adrien had to leave Paris. His dad had to leave business wise for 8 years. The family together, decided to tell the children the news. "Adrien, Marinette! Come here please!" Sabine shouted. In came a flustered Marinette and a laughing Adrien. "Sweetie, what happened?" Adrien's mom asked. "He (Marinette points at Adrien.) tickled me, and wouldn't stop." Marinette pouts at Adrien. "I'm sorry, Mari." Mari laughs. "It's ok Shortie." Adrien groans. "Marinette, Adrien. We have some news to tell you." Marinette and Adrien look at Gabriel. "Adrien is going to leave after his birthday. We have to leave Paris for a little while." Marinette starts to slowly leak tears. "I don't care as long as I get to see Shortie." Marinette sniffles. "Honey, you will! It's only for a little while. He will be back before you know it!" Marinette slowly smiles. "Yay!" Marinette looks at Adrien. "When's your birthday?" Adrien smiles, a sad one. "In one month." She smiles. "Then come on! Let's play!" Unfortunately, one month passed very quickly. Today was the day of Adrien's birthday. Turning 7. "Wow, Adrien's older than me. Cool." Marinette thought. Marinette decided to make him a best friend bracelet. When they were playing superheroes, Adrien would be a black and green cat, and  Marinette would be a ladybug. Marinette made a charm to put in the middle of the bracelet, which is a black and green cat-paw. And she made herself a black and red, ladybug charm. Marinette then finished the bracelets by adding the proper beads. Marinette put down the bracelets, and went to her closet. She decided to wear a ladybug skirt, and a white shirt. She just grabbed the bracelets when she heard. "Marinette, sweetie, come downstairs." Marinette quickly made sure she had the bracelets, and rushed downstairs. "Ready mom!" Sabine smiled at her daughter. And off they went, Sabine, Tom, and Marinette.
Adrien was all set to go, all that was left was Marinette. His friend Nino was here. Along with Chloe, but that's about it. He was about to ask where she was until he heard Marinette's giggle. He rushed to the room she was in, and hid behind a wall. "Hello, I'm Marinette, who are you?" She giggled. "Im Nino, Adrien's friend dudette." "Any friend of Adrien's, is a friend of mine!" Adrien could just picture her smile. Adrien decided to come out from his place, and hug Marinette. But she had other plans. As soon as Adrien came up to hug her, she kissed his cheek. "Happy Birthday Adrien!" She smiled, he blushed. And the rest was, a blur.
   "Time to open your presents Adrien." Adrien smiled. "Open mines Adrikins!" He shivered in disgust. But opened it. Inside was a gift card. "Thanks Chloe." She just flipped her hair. Up next was Ninos, and the rest were a blur to him. But last but not least. "Here you go Adrien!" Marinette handed him the bracelet. He automatically smiled. "Thanks Ladybug." She smiled. "These are friendship bracelets. I hope you won't forget me when you leave Adrien. "I won't Mari." And the rest was history.
    On his airplane ride, all he could picture was the day when they told them. 8 years without a Marinette, 8 years without happiness.
Marinette, as soon as she came back from the airport cried in her pillows. 8 years without Adrien, 8 years without little Shortie. She smiled sadly still sobbing into her pillow, until sleep hit her like a truck.
