So, if you read the title then you know that in this chapter there will be a contest. But, it will be at the end. SO READ THE AUTHOR NOTE AT THE END. By the way, I am terribly sorry for the late update.

*Damon's P.O.V*

The last bell of the day rang and I slowly gathered my stuff off of the desk. Dakota sauntered over to me with a straight face which I knew meant trouble. That, and the fact that she hadn't said a word to me all day. Probably waiting until nobody was around to kill me.

Knowing her, she'll rip my throat out with her teeth and throw me into a volcano.

If I'm lucky.

"Hey Dakota..." I said slowly and cautiously. I bit the inside of my lip as she stopped in front of me, her back straight like a stick, and her books perfectly placed in the crook of her arm.

"Ah, hello Damon." Dakota said, a sickly, sweet, innocent smile on her face as she cocked her head to the side, causing her to look more innocent.

But I know Dakota Riddle, and she's anything but innocent.

"I herd you got detention today?" Dakota asked and leaned forward on her feet before falling backwards on them, causing her to now look like a little girl asking for candy. Except Dakota was a little demon girl asking for my life. Big difference.

"Y-yeah..." I stuttered quietly, gripping my binder in front of my chest defensively. "But, it was totally Jake's fault!" I quickly said when I saw her eye twitch slightly. The smile swiped off her face, and instead was placed with confusion.

"Jake? You mean the one who hangs out with Dahvie?" she asked and her cheeks tinted pink a little at the sound of Dahvie's name.

"Yeah." I nodded, happy for the diversion. But, then I remembered that it wasn't his fault and my eyes widened drastically. "I'm really sorry Dakota." I said softly looking down at the floor, a small pout on my lips by accident. I herd her sigh and I peered up at her through my hair.

"It's okay Damon. I'm on my period and I just get ticked off easily." Dakota admitted shamelessly and I looked up at her startled.

"Dakota!" I cried, my eyes wide.

"Oh shut up and c'm here." she giggled before pulling me to her chest for a hug. I smiled gently and hugged her back closing my eyes.

"But no seriously. I didn't need to know that."

I made my way down to detention after grabbing all my belongings. I told Dakota not to wait up for me, that Jayy would probably give me a ride home.

I walked into the library where detention was being held and saw Ms.Unly and Mr.Hale deep in conversation, their eyes flickering to me occasionally. That's when I realized I was the only one here so far.

Knowing Jake, he would probably just skip out or something. He seemed like the type to do that. But, knowing Jayy as well as I did, I thought he would be here by now. I must not know him as much as I want.

I sighed softly and stared down at my hands which were placed on the table I was sitting at. My black backpack was sitting at my feet and I kept nudging it with my foot occasionally out of boredom.

Finally though, after what seemed like hours -which was only a few minutes- the two other boys showed up, wrestling one another for no apparent reason. Mr.Hale sighed at the reappearing actions from earlier and stalked over to them. He shot his hand in between the fight and both boys stumbled back from shock, and the fact that a hand was so close to their faces abruptly.
