[warning! Spoilers and remember this is a different story where They did not defeat the Capitol.]
"Wake up!" A familiar voice whispered.
"Why?" I said in a hushed voice.
"Come on Daisy." The voice said again.
"Rose! Let me sleep!" I moaned and rolled over.
I heard a scoff and footsteps walking away. I rubbed my eyes and got out of the cot. I grabbed my bow and arrow, and headed for class with Katniss. "Hi Katniss" I said waving.
She smiled and waved back. "I still cannot believe we didn't defeat the Capitol!" She said, aiming her bow and arrow.
I nodded, and took an arrow.
{[FLASHBACK]}
"District 13, you are being destroyed." A voice said over a loud speaker.
I looked shocked, and grabbed my Mother and sisters hand. "Rose! Mom! Come on run!"
My father was behind us, pushing us to go. Bombs and mines were going off everywhere. Trees fell and houses collapsed. I ran and ran, checking now and then if my dad was still there.
We were so close! I heard a bomb go off behind us and I looked back. Where's Dad. I stopped running and so did Rose and mom kept going. She thought we were there. "Mom!" We yelled.
A bomb went off right while we were yelling. My mom stepped on a stick causing a reaction for a bomb. "MOM!" We ran over to her. We're too late. "Rose trust me. Just follow me!" We ran and ran, not stopping.
I grasped her hand and would not let go. She's my 5 year old sister. I won't let anything happen to her. She fell and I stopped. "DAISY HELP!" I ran back as fast as I ever could. I grabbed her hand and got her up just as a bomb where she was blew up.
I cried and sobbed and kept running, hearing screams and seeing dead bodies with bombs in the background.
[a few days later of running]
We suddenly got pushed back by and imaginary line, and a lone line of darkness. There has been nothing for the past days. We made it. I let go of Rose's hand and waited for help. "HELP!"
A family of 4 came on the other side of the darkness. They heard and the woman shot and arrow at the line. It stayed perfectly stable. She said something, but I couldn't hear it. They pushed (except for the baby girl) and a crack came in.
