Crowley stationed himself behind you, a wicked grin plastered on his face as you shrunk in fear. Dean rose to his feet, planting himself between Crowley and you.

"Get out of my way boy." Crowley sneered, flashing his red eyes.

Dean's body shook, his fear getting the best of him. After all, this was a demon on the loose, and all he had was his fists. He put his fists up, ready to attempt to defend you.

Your small hand touched his elbow, Dean peering at you quizzically.

"It's okay. He is a family friend." You smiled, containing your fear as you walked over to Crowley.

If your new parents trusted him, I guess you could too. At least, not fully. You mustered up all your confidence as you walked away from the odd boy.

You just didn't want him to get hurt for your sake. So, this was the way to do it. You grabbed Crowley's sleeve, staring at the ground as you mustered the saddest face you can make.

Glancing up, a sliver of fear trails your spine as his eyes are blood red, your body shaking.

"Please Mr. Crowley. I just want to go home."

It wasn't truly a lie, you really did want to go home to your new parents. You were just tired and wanted to sleep.

Crowley's face softened as you tried not to cry. Crying is a weakness, and weakness always got you slammed around by the other families. Your face twisted as you tried to hold back the tears, him scooping you up and holding you close.

"Hey hey, now don't you go crying and messing up my suit." His gravely voice oddly soothed you, the feeling from earlier returning as you are now back in the Muse's house.

Ava and Marcus are there, sitting in the living room, rising to their feet as Crowley appears. Ava rushes to you, Crowley handing you over as she holds you tightly.

"Thank you, sir." Ava sounds sincere as she gives a small head bow, him sighing.

"I think we need to have a talk with Miss (y/n) here."

Marcus and Ava both shake their heads, them sitting you down on the couch.

They took their time explaining the entirety of the demon race and what their role was. It was very confusing at first, you were never a religious person, and the only 'demons' you had heard of was the brief mentions of them while at Sunday school. Sometimes you got put in with a foster family that loved going to church, even if their actions were anywhere close to Christian-like.

"So. You two are like, bad guys, but good bad guys?" You ask, slightly scared of the answer.

Ava nods, "Yes, how good or bad we are depends on what side of the deal you are on."

"We can give a man more time to spend with a dying loved one, but he has to pay the price for it. So it can be good, we gave a man more time, but he had to make up for that time with his soul." Marcus rubs small circles into your hand, it calming you down a bit.

Crowley just sits and watches, having not said a word during the whole explanation. Ava and Marcus turn to Crowley, "Anything we missed boss?"

Crowley shakes his head, "Well, other that the fact of why (y/n) is so special."

Fear grips you, were they going to use you as a sacrifice? What if they just wanted your soul to make a deal?

"(Y/n), you were special since the day you were born, but the day that makes you more special happened when you were just a few months old." Ava starts, holding Marcus' hand.
