Ding. Ding.

The bell rang as I opened the front door of the inn.

"Hello, and welcome to the Daylight Inn, how may I help yo-" Aiden stopped, as he met his eyes with mine, once he looked up.

He quickly ran around his desk to me, his arms were around me instantly.

"Hey, Aiden." I grinned, as I wrapped my arms around him.

"Ember, where have you been? I've been so worried," he scolded.

"It's only hardly been a month." I smiled at him, as he released me.

"That's a long time, Ember."

"I know... I know. I just-"

"Em?"

I turned and smiled at Mel. "Hey, Mel."

Mel ran to me and I hugged her. "Where have you been?" she asked.

"Well, I've been with... Mason." I looked down at the ground.

I looked back up, her eyes were lit up.

"If he touched you, so help me I will kill that-"

"Father! Please, there are children, in the other room!" Mel interrupted him, her voice raised.

"Sorry."

"Okay, well, Em, you come with me so we can talk." Mel dragged me up the stairs to my room.

"Is this even still my room?" I asked.

She looked at me curiously. "Of course."

"Oh, okay."

We walked into my room and it was exactly how I left it.

Messy bed and all.

"Come on," Mel said, as she jumped onto my bed.

I slowly walked to the bed, and got on crossing my legs.

Mel sat up, and faced me, doing the same potion as I. "So?" she asked.

"What?" I asked.

"So, you were with my cousin?"

"Yeah..."

"Well?"

"Well, I... I realized that I... I love him," I stuttered.

"Oh, my gosh. I knew this was gonna happen. I called it! I'm psychic!" She pointed to her chest, a smile bright on her face.

A smile formed on my face. I shook my head. "Yeah, I guess you are." She rolled her eyes.

So, then I told her everything, that happened over the last month. From my love for Mason, from joining the bandits, to actually liking being apart of the bandits.

"Wait! So, you are a Black Arrow?" she asked.

"Yeah, I guess."

"So, did you meet Rose? And, Serresa, Makala, Sage, and Scarlet?

"Yeah?"

"Oh, that explains the red streak." She touched the red in my hair.

"Yep."

"Can I see the tattoo?"

I pulled up my sleeve and showed her.

"Okay. Well, I have something to show you. Now, please don't get mad, that I didn't tell you..." She trailed off. Then she turned slightly and lifted her sleeve, she revealed two black arrows crossing.
