Chapter 2: Kai

Jeeneul's POV

*kringggg* damn this alarm clock!! I smack the alarm and groan while stuffing my face in the pillow. "Jee! Wake up!" I hear my mom yell from downstairs. "Five more minutes..." I grumble. "If you're asking for five minutes more then be sure to feel cold water on your body!" That woke me up. "I'm awake!" I yell out in panic. I got up from my bed. Same old method to wake me up.

I went to the bathroom and did the necessary stuffs and came out. I wore my uniform and step out of my room. I walk downstairs and saw mom talking on the phone. I just ate my breakfast. After ending the call, mom sigh and sat down on the chair opposite to me. I look at her worriedly. "What's wrong, mom?" I ask. She look at me with a small smile. "I'm sorry Jee, but I'll be returning back home late today. There's an urgent call from the office about work and so I have to be there." She said.

I nod my head in understanding. "Its okay mom. I'll be fine." I smile at her reassuring. She smile as she hears me say that. "I know you will. Now, I'll go and get ready. You should go too." She got up from the chair and went upstairs. I got up and slung my bag and step outside the house. I walk my way to school.

After sometimes, I reached my school so I walk down the hallway and enter my classroom. As usual, Sky and Myujeu were chatting with their boyfriends. I walk towards my seat and sat down while staring outside the window. "What's up with the moody face?" I hear Sky ask. I look up and saw her with a worried look. I smile at them. "Nothing." I replied. "You sure?" Myujeu ask me this time. I nod my head. "Yeah." I smile at them reassuringly. "Okay then." They walk back to their seats as the teacher came inside. I know that they weren't convinced but they just decided to let it be and I'm thankful for that. Soon the class started...

As usual, me and my friends were sitting on our table which was just besides the window. We were chatting like we do everyday. I sense someone staring at me, so I turn back and saw Lay staring at me. I widen my eyes. Lay smiled and waved at me. I wave back at him and smile shyly and turn back to my friends. "What was that?" Sky ask as she look at me with a grin on her face. I look down while playing with my food. "I don't know..." I replied.

"Fufufu~ Guess he likes you too~" Sky sings playfully. I can feel my face getting warm. "Stop it...." I nudge her embarrassingly. She giggle and continued eating. "I also think he likes you too." Myujeu said as she smile at me. I gave them a blank look. "He just waved at me. That doesn't mean that he likes me. You guys need to calm your brains a little." I said.

I can tell that they were a little hurt at what I said, by the way their face had a small frown, but they really need to think straight. I know that they are just happy that Lay acknowledges me but its not coz' he likes me. He's just kind and friendly, that's all.

I just look down and continue eating my lunch. "Sorry Jee..." Sky and Myujeu apologized. I just smile at them. "Its okay." I said. They smile back and we continue on chatting. I glance back slightly and saw Lay and his friends chatting. As if he can sense me staring, Lay look at me and smile. I whip my head forward as I start blushing. Calm down, you blushy face.

I bid my friends as I wave at them and start walking towards my home. I stop by a park where I usually come to and sat down on one of the swings and swung a little with my legs. I start wondering about Lay and his action towards me today.

He never does that before, like staring at me and smiling. I mean, he does smile at me time to time but that's just coz' I smiled at him. But this time, he was the one who smiled first. Maybe, he likes me? Gah! I mess my hair. "Nonono. He's just being friendly, that's all." I convince myself and stood up from the swing and walk back home.

As I was walking back home, I heard some shouting so I walk towards the sound quietly. I saw some guys beating up a guy which was on the floor. They said something and kicked him one last time and walked away. The guy on the floor was groaning in pain.

I got worried so I rush towards him. "Hey, are you okay?" I ask worriedly as I bend down besides him. The guy didn't answer and just ignored me. I extend my hand towards him but he slap my hand as I was about to touch him. "Don't touch me." The guy said coldly.

I widen my eyes. That voice. He's the guy from yesterday. The guy groan in pain again while holding his stomach. I got more worried. "Listen, you need to get to the hospital quickly." I said as I tried to touch him again. This time, he glared at me harshly so I stop my hand. "I said, don't touch me." He said angrily.

I frown at him and ignored what he said as I grab his shoulders and help him up. He shook my hands off and as a result, he fell down on the ground. He wince at the impact. I sigh at his stubbornness and helped him up once again. "I told you not--" I cut him off. "Not to touch you. Yeah, yeah, whatever." I didn't care if he's glaring at me or not. He needs to be treated and I'll be helping him.

>>time skip<< (arrival at Jee's house, with a lot of struggling and glaring on the way.)

I open my front door and walk inside and place the guy on the sofa. "Where is this place?! Why did you bring me here?!" The guy yelled at me. I gave him a blank look. "This is my house. I brought you here to get you treated. Now shut up and lie down." I glare at him and went to the kitchen and grab the first-aid kit from the drawer.

I walk back to the living room and saw the guy lying down on the sofa just like I told him to. Good boy. I sat down on the floor beside him and open the first-aid kit. I start cleaning off the blood on his arm and he wince in pain. "Sorry, but you have to bear it." I said and continue cleaning him.

I cleaned up the blood on his arms and proceed to clean up his stomach too. "Pull up your shirt." I said to him. He just took off his shirt and dropped it on the floor. I blush as he lay shirtless on the sofa. I look at his stomach and was surprised to see perfect toned abs, so I blushed hardly. So hot.

"Like what you see?" The guy smirk at me. I glare at him. "Shut up." I just cleaned up the blood on his stomach. After cleaning up all the bloods, I applied some ointment on the wounds. "All done." I closed the first-aid kit and kept it on the table.

"Why are you helping me?" The guy ask as he stare at me curiously. I look at him. "I can't just ignore an injured person." I smile at him. "By the way, what's your name?" I ask. "Just call me Kai." He said. Kai? Hm...nice name. "What about you?" He ask. "You can call me Jee." I said while smiling.

My phone beeped in my pocket so I took it out. I check it to see that my mom texted me telling me that she won't be home today. I just replied with an 'okay'. I look at the guy to see that he had already fallen asleep. I smile a little and without knowing, I drifted off to sleep.
