M-0002, or the invisible snake, is completely invisible to the naked eye. It can only be seen via a camera, viewing its reflection in a mirror or by viewing it through glass. This is caused by its ability to psychically attack anyone nearby to remove it from regular vision. In the event eye contact is made, it will instantly take control of whoever it is looking at. The effects of mind control inflicted by M-0002 have been reported to last up to ten times as long as the eye contact being made. One incident involving such mind control occurred when a female researcher accidentally made eye contact with M-0002, allowing it to maintain her view for approximately 1 second. The following ten seconds involved the researcher violently attacking her fellow staff with any available weapon. Two people were killed and six more were injured. Research into the event revealed that during the attack, the researcher was incapable of any thoughts that did not match her given objective. Following this incident, all staff were instructed to wear glasses in order to properly see M-0002 and thus avoid eye contact.
M-0002 is a large, 8 meter long snake with completely red eyes. It is black in colour. In the event of an escape, all staff should hurry to a safe distance, preferably behind a locked door, and alert security. To ensure that no eye contact is made and to minimise casualties, staff should avoid looking at M-0002 in any way, and should remain completely alone while avoid M-0002. If M-0002 has taken control of someone, they can only do M-0002 tells them. This means they will act out of character but, do to the intelligence of M-0002, may be surprisingly accurate to their normal behaviour. In the event of a security breach, do not trust anyone who has not spent the entire incident alongside you.
Attempts to communicate with M-0002 have been made by allowing it to take control of volunteers. Unfortunately,very little information has been revealed, and all three attempts have resulted in some form of tragedy. One attempt revealed the abilities of M-0002, which were already known at the time, and ended the volunteer walking into the containment unit in order to be consumed by M-0002. The second revealed the M-0002 felt outright hatred towards all humans, even calling out a few specific staff members, and that M-0002 wished to leave the premises, before resulting in the volunteer strangling themselves using a shirt they had been wearing. The final attempt resulted in M-0002 stating that "anyone who tries this again will be helping me escape!" before completely removing the volunteers desire to breathe.
M-0002 is thought to be an ancient species, but is likely the last of it's kind. However, this is only speculation.
M-0002 should only be handled if absolutely required, but no unnecessary contact of any kind should be made.
