M-0005, physically speaking, takes the form of a 527 page black book with the words "A Tale Written In Blood" inscribed in white text upon it's front cover. The text within the book is completely unreadable, but appears to be written in whatever language and/or dialect the reader is most familiar with, regardless of how many observers are present. The scrawlings appear to be generated by the reader, but cannot read as anyone who is capable of doing so becomes extremely willing to procrastinate or outright refuse to read M-0005 or copy its text. The page number in the bottom right corner of each page is completely readable. M-0005's most remarkable property is that, should any form mammalian blood make contact with its inner pages, the book will violently slam itself shut. If any solid object can be found between two pages of M-0005 it will be ejected from the area at a speed of 12 miles per hour. The only way to reopen M-0005 is to have the individual whose blood was spilt to die or fall asleep for a minimum of 1 hour. Upon awakening or death the book will open as if it were a regular book.

Whilst asleep, subjects will experience a dream that can last from 12 seconds to 3000 years without having any impact on how long the subject is actually asleep. These dreams will always begin with the subject's birth and will end with their death. During the dream, various places, beings, objects and events from the subject's life may play out, with adjustments for the setting. Dreams take place in a fantastical world which commonly contains the following...
- the existence of magic and various magical and/or supernatural objects, beings, events and locations
- the existence of a powerful threat which is destined to be destroyed, defeated or otherwise bested by the subject
- The regular use and possession of lethal and non-lethal weaponry by various entities, usually consistent with a typical fantasy story
- the mimicry of various traumatic experiences which are more closely based on the emotional and psychological impact on the subject rather than the experiences themselves

M-0005 was recovered on April 10th, 1897 in London, England after reports of readers forgetting their life prior to the dreams. M-0005 is to be kept in a locked briefcase with a code that is at least 20 numerical digits in length. Access is not to be granted without ZZA level clearance.
