Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Go Back To Bed Princess

Sapphire's POV

  After our very unhealthy dinner Kenzie and I decided to go to the store and grab a few things to snack on and drink. We pull in the parking lot of the nearest grocery store and hop out of the car.

  "Honestly Sapph we only have to deal with it for two weeks. Stop talking about it and chill. It's only day one and I didn't decide to go on vacation with you to hear you bitch."

  "Yeah, right. I'm sorry this just wasn't how I pictured the start of our trip." I felt kind of bad now. On the car ride all I did was bitch about the Walter and the whole situation.

  "I accept your apology. Now, lets go grab some unhealthy bullshit." We walked in the store and grabbed pretty much every snack you can dream of and a whole shit ton of Dr.Pepper. I am in love with everything about Dr.Pepper and it fills me with happiness every time I drink it.

  "Hey Kenz?"

  "Yeah Sapph?"

  "Do you think your parents would kill us if they knew how much junk we're buying?"

  "Oh yeah totally. But they love us so they wouldn't kill us really. Just smack our heads and then lecture us." I giggle. Kenzie's parents are huge health freaks and anytime we eat a lot of junk they lecture us about how we're going to die of heart attacks at the age of 30. We head to the check out and pay for our stuff. As soon as we finish we hop back in the car and head back to the hotel.

  We get back to the hotel and pass Walter arguing with some poor employee in the lobby as we go to head to the room. Walter grabs my arm.

  "Excuse me?"

  "Oh calm down Princess it's not like I bit your arm off. I'm not going to be back at the room till late I have a last minute meeting."

  "Oh good I don't have to see you again." I smile sweetly. He lets go and Kenzie and I go upstairs. Once there I change into my night shirt and climb into the bed on my phone. I scroll through Pinterest and eventually get sleepy. I tell Kenzie goodnight only to find that she's already passed out. I laugh and lay down to drift off into immediate sleep.

  I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing and notice that it's 6 in the morning. I pick up my phone and tip toe out of the room so I don't wake Kenzie. I answer the call from my Aunt Bailey to hear her very chirpy on the other end.

  "Good morning my beautiful niece!"

  "Aunt B it's 6 am. What happened to knowing I like my sleep?"

  "Sorry love I have a meeting soon and I wanted to talk to you before I left. So how's your trip going? Is it fun? Do you miss me? I miss you." I laugh.

  "My trip's going good. Yes it's fun. Of course I miss you." Walter walks out of his room just as I finish my sentence and looks at me funny.

  "Again sorry I just miss you a bunch. And to think I still have two more months of this!" I laugh again at my Aunt's silliness.

  "I know Aunt B. I miss you too, but as soon as I get home we'll have Kenzie over and we'll all make dinner."

  "Are you sure Kenzie in the kitchen is the best idea? Remember what happened last time?"

  "I know she almost caught the house on fire but we did leave her alone in the kitchen. This time we'll both be there at all times and make sure there are no fires."

  "Okay sweetheart. My meeting starts in half an hour so I have to get going. But I love you and I promise not to call so early next time."

  "Okay Aunt B, have fun at your meeting. I love you and I'll see you when we get home." I hang up the phone and turn around to notice Walter standing there with furrowed brows.

  "Can I help you?" He looks at me and shakes his head.

  "Go back to bed Princess." He stares at me a minute longer and then walks out the door. I walk back to the room and climb in bed hoping for a little more sleep.

  "Kenzie!" I woke up to my oh-so-wonderful best friend tickling my feet.

  "Well it's 10 o'clock!"

  "Yeah and how long have you been awake?"

  "Since 9! I showered when I got up so you could have some hot water. You're welcome."

  "I hate you." I grab my towel, my phone and my speaker and headed to the shower. I turned on my music and jammed while I showered. Once I was clean I got out of the shower. I went to our room and picked out my Captain America shirt and star jean shorts. Once changed I put on some mascara and eyeliner and I was ready. Kenzie and I were going shopping today because it was supposed to rain. Once Kenzie finished her make up we grabbed our purses and left.

  We spent pretty much the whole day shopping with a break for lunch. We were at the door of our suite and Kenzie was searching for the key.

  "Kenzie I swear you're a mess."

  "I thought I grabbed it but its not in here!"

  "So now what are we supposed to do?"

  "Wait here until Walter gets back I guess." Wonderful. Fucking wonderful. I sighed and sat by the door to wait for what would probably be forever. I decide to plug my headphones in and take a nap. Classy I know. A nap outside the hotel room we've been locked out of. I fell asleep quickly.

  I wake to Kenzie shaking my body and Walter standing over us. I check my phone and realize we've been sitting here for about two hours.

  "Care to tell me why you two are sleeping outside the suite instead of inside it?"

  "Well my soon to be ex bestfriend seems to have forgotten the key."

  "You could've called me." He walks over to the door and unlocks it for us.

  "We don't have your number idiot."

  "Idiot. Very mature Princess." I roll my eyes.

  "Well I'm going to bed. Thanks for unlocking the door or whatever."
