Marinette didn't get to ask Alix if she was okay, she actually didn't see her at all during dinner.
"Marinette!" Alya called. "How did it go?! I'm sure you were great! If you don't get the lead, I don't know if I could live with Chloé's attitude!"
"Yeah right," Marinette sneered. "With all her, "private lessons" and "special practice" she must be better than me."
"Don't say that!" Alya exclaimed. "I heard from Rose, that she heard from Max, who heard from Nino, that Adrien said you did great!"
"Really?!" Marinette stuttered. "Adrien did?!"
"Yeah! It's true! And, I found the best topic for my report! I'm going after Ladybug and Chat Noir!" She shouted.
Alya was shushed by a group a table over, Marinette poked at her pasta.
"Wow, Ladybug and Chat Noir," she mumbled.
She had forgotten about that. She wasn't going to go back, but she had so much fun, and now Alya's grade depends on her sneaking out again.
"I suddenly remembered something I have to do!" Alya cheered. "See you!"
Marinette nodded. To stay undiscovered, she would have to leave after Alya, then leave the club early enough to sneak back in before her, and pretend to be asleep.
Marinette walked back past the board, that had all the current casting. The ballet one wasn't posted, but she would wait.
Right when Marinette was about to open the door to her room, Alya ran out.
"I'll be back around Midnight!" She called.
"What?!" Marinette shouted back.
"I'm going to watch Ladybug and Chat Noir until Midnight!" She yelled again.
"Okay, so I have to be back before midnight," Mari thought to herself.
With that she got ready to leave, with the perfect plan in mind.
