Kid immediately caught Astral in his arms being as he was the one already closest to her. The galaxy haired girl was nearly lifeless in his hold, rapidly chilling to the bone. Her only sign of life seeming to be the cringing erratic spasms convulsing on some piece of her figure.

Kid leaned her weight into one arm, using his spare hand to measure the pulse on her neck. His head shot up at the touch. "Its hardly there." He whispered fearfully.

"What do we do?!" Megan cried aloud and with water pooling in the sides if her eyes.

Artemis who was by her side didn't know what to say. She had known Astral for less than 16 hours and she had to admit, she started to like the girl. The smart mouthed and open opinionated girl who wanted nothing but for Artemis to fit in with the team. Now all she could do was watch as that very same girl grew closer to death with each passing moment.

"Kid Flash, get her back to the Cave as fast as you can and take her to the medic bay! I'll contact Batman for his immediate assistance!" Without a second thought, Kid did as his leader commanded. With Astral in his arms bridal style, he sped off towards the cave.

"Aqualad to Batman, do you read?" Kaldur frantically called through his com. His heart picked up in speed, more than he thought it ever could in his life.

"I read you, Kaldur. Whats wrong?" Batman's dark tone was a bit hasty as well, not knowing what would stir a normally calm demeanor person like Kaldur'ahm.

"Astral has been injected with high levels of jellyfish toxin in her chest and back. Its already progressed into its more severe stages. Kid Flash is rushing her to the Cave now. She is in need of immediate medical treatment."

"Understood, entering cave now. Contacting Green Lantern Jordan and Black Canary." His voice paused for a moment before changing to that of a kind man, a reassuring message. "Dont worry, we'll take care of her. For now, finish your mission with Roquette then return to the cave."

But Kaldur had no desire to finish the mission no matter what his training taught him or mentor told him. He was mentally kicking himself for not seeing the signs he himself had to overcome once before. All he wanted was to be there, for her, for Astral.

Back at the Cave, Kid slid into the medic bay on burning feet, breathing heavily with Astral held tightly against his chest. And there was Batman, Black Canary and Hal Jordan who had hauled ass 100 sectors away to help his beloved daughter. His eyes dulled of life when he saw her appearance. Her entire life with him flashed through his mind like he would never get those experiences again.

"You-you can save her......right?" Wally stuttered, handing Astral off to Black Canary who then turned her to Hal. The Lantern rose his shaking hand, the ring on his finger illuminating to influence Astral's necklace in changing back to her normal clothes.

Wally's mouth dropped to the floor when he saw Canary slightly pull down the collar of Astral's shirt to reveal a black and red rash like nothing he had ever seen before and blisters to accompany it. Rubbed raw from her clothes, her skin practically disintegrated to ooze the life liquid of her body.

"We need to get her a bag of Antivenin stat." Canary demanded, moving with incredible yet careful haste to the back of the room to set Astral up with all the necessities she needed to keep her alive.
