I can see my science teacher getting really annoyed with me as I’m waiting for Billy to text me back and tell me if he can come. I tap one more time.
“Suzie Person would you please stop tapping”
“Sorry Sir”
Mr Gordon finally cracks
2 minutes later I tap again.
“SUZIE PERSON I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO STOP TAPPING”
“Sorry Sir it’s a habit”
“Get out”
“I didn’t do anything though sir”
“Don’t backchat young lady. You might do that with your parents but not me. I will not tolerate it”
He really sounds pissed off with me now
“GET OUT”
As I walk out the classroom and look around to see people sniggering, the only person being friendly is Cathie.
I stand outside 10 minutes before Billy texts me back.
“Heyy Suzie I can come meet me at the fountain after school, my Mums dropping my stuff off at yours already told her where you live”
I text back “Okay but how do you know where I live”
About 30 seconds later my phone vibrates in my pocket. He must have quick fingers.
“I looked in your profile at student office when no-one was in there”
“Ohhh Okay, Me and Cathie will meet you there”
“Okay xxx J”
Woah he put kisses at the end of my message, the only boy who has ever done that is my dad. My heart starts to flutter. I can feel my cheeks go bright right.
I quickly hide my phone as Mr Gordon walks towards me
“Suzie Person I did not expect that from you”
“Sorry Sir, It won’t happen again”
“Good now get back into class and get on with your work”
I walk back into class and sit in my chair.
My phone vibrates again. I looked at it hoping it would be Billy.
1 New Message from Cathie
“What did Sir say?”
Has she really just text me that she could of just asked me.
“He just said don’t do it again”
“Oh good I was worried ud got detention”
“Nope, remember Cathie I’m Mr Gordon’s favourite student”
“Yeah whatever”
She’s so cheeky sometimes but I love her for it
The bell goes and Sir says we can go I can’t wait to get out the classroom and see Billy. As I run past Cathie I grab her arm and pull her out the classroom.
“Ow, that’s twice now”
“Sorry I just don’t want Billy thinking we’ve left him waiting there”
“Okay chill I’m coming” Cathie is so sarcastic sometimes
“I bet he isn’t even there yet”
Cathie was wrong, we walk to the fountain and Billy is stood there with his overnight back in his big soft hands.
“Heyy Girls”
“Heyy Bill” I had to be the first to respond. Every time I see him he makes me feel like I could just jump into his big arms.
“You ready” Cathie says
“Yepp” Me and Billy say
“Hold on, Don’t Cathie need to get her things”
“No she’s got everything at my house”
“I practically live there”
Billy looks at me confused
“She doesn’t live there she just always comes round to sleep” I try to put it into simpler words
“Ohh why didn’t you say that then” Billy makes me sound stupid
I roll my eyes at him.
“Shall we go on then” Cathie says
“Yeah I’m freezing” I say
“Cathie would you like to lead the way” Billy asks
“Okay”
