~Your Lullabies won't
let me sleep~The halls of Hogwarts were warm and filled with light at students chatted lightly. First years chased each other and seventh years struggled under the weight of the millions of books they were carrying. Cordelia dodged a gaggle of 2nd years playing catch the snitch.
"Where do you suppose Ron and Harry ran off to?"
Hermione glanced over at her and chuckled lightly.
"Probably off picking a fight with Malfoy,You know how they are Delia."
She let out a sharp intake of breath as someone pressed up against her from behind.
"I'll have you know I'm not always badgering potter and weasel-bee."
Hermione squealed in surprise at the sudden intruder. Cordelia turned sharply, a grim frown inching its way onto her face.
"Id be indebted to you if you would kindly take you're foul hands of my hips before I break your wrists."
He smirked thinking the request through and then he tightened his grip. The girl let out a gasp and threw him a glare as he declined the offer.
"No thanks I like my hands where the are."
Thankfully Hermione came to her rescue after noticing the girls distress.
"Hey Cordelia it's time for Potion's and you know how Snape is if we're late."
Gripping his pale hands She pushed him backwards lightly before stalking off with Hermione in tow, her robes swishing behind her.
The duo stopped at the great hall to pick up Kit. Her black head was spotted easily next to Cedric's and she glanced up her green eyes meeting Cordelia's blue ones and then she seemed to say a quick goodbye and stood up, wrapping her Hufflepuff tie back around her neck. She bounded over to the two Gryffindor's quickly and she blushed at least 50 shades of red when she saw the smirks on their faces.
"Hello Kit, How was your Lunch?" Hermione smirked as Cordelia giggled at the blushing girl.
"Perfectly glorious, we better be off if we want to meet up with Harry and Ron before potion's, don't you think?" Kit stammered quickly trying to divert the unwanted attention.
"Alright kit we'll ignore the elephant in the room and go to potions but we expect details later, got it?"
Hermione chuckled as Cordelia continued to mess with the girl.
She gave a sharp nod in reply and the girls made there way to the dungeons for potions. Cordelia wouldn't go as far to say she hated Snape but he wasn't even close to being her favorite teacher.
The girls walked in and caught sight of the familiar blazing red hair of Phenoix Evensbee. She was always the first person to arrive in the potions classroom and the last to leave it.
She turned and smiled as the trio made their way over to her. She stood and gave Cordelia a tight hug as she had arrived late last week because her dad had passed away, and seeing as he was a very important ministry member it was very sad and public. As term had started 4 weeks ago Phenoix had arrived late last Saturday. She spent the next day wandering about and running to and fro collecting assignments to catch up.
Kit sat beside Pheniox and Cordelia and Hermione sat behind them. After talking for quite sometime about what our 5th year would be like. Seeing as it would be less than a year away. Harry and Ron walked in out of breath just as Snape stood to take roll and start the lesson.

Draco's P.O.V.
I saw her walk past with Granger and the next thing you know she was spitting my name out like venom.
I strutted towards her not even worried if anyone saw because I could pass it off like I was being a royal pain as Cordelia would say. I pressed up into her back putting my hands on her hips.
She jumped and turned eager to find out who dare touch her in such a prohibited way. A grim frown present on her soft features. Her eye's twinkled slightly upon seeing me.
After a lot of typical banter we departed and I lingered watching her stalk away annoyed. I would see her in potions anyway.
I went back over to my window seat and Blaise and Goyle proceeded to approach me.
"Why were you talking to those MudBloods Draco?" Goyle chided
Blaise was the only person who knew of my complicated relationship with Cordelia but I'm positive she told Granger or maybe even Lawrence.
"I was putting them in their place's, anyway come on Blaise and I have to get to potion's and Goyle I have no idea what your doing so bye."
Goyle looked at me and smirked and in an instant I knew, he was skipping, Of course he's probably running of with Anastasia, His girlfriend. We were all very surprised but I mean love is love right.
I didn't really understand until Cordelia and I started meeting up. Of course we're not a couple but, we meet up on the weekends in the astronomy tower and we spend hours just talking.
Blaise and I started walking down the solemn hallways not daring to speak a word about recent and upcoming events.
Until...
"So...you meeting Cordelia this weekend?should I cover for you?" Blaise spoke up timidly.
I chuckled."It's up to her, If I don't get an Owl tonight we don't meet but that's never happened before so...Yeah I guess you should. Thank you by the way for supporting me I mean I know she's not only a half blood but she's also a Gryffindor and..." I continued to ramble until Blaise cut me off
"Man it's fine quite being a Priss. Oh wait I forgot your Whipped so.." I gawked and shut my mouth quickly as we enter the class.
"I am so not whipped..." And then realized where Blaise had chosen to sit. I about had a heart attack as she turned around.
"Oh Draco your so whipped" She smirked and with a wink turned around and began to go over the lesson with Lawrence.
Then I noticed the whole class was already working on the drought of living death so me and Blaise split jobs and talked through it before beginning.
In the end Hermione and Cordelia finished first and Kit and Phenoix finished soon after. We finished minutes later and departed to the great hall for dinner.
