I dragged my feet into the library, clutching my lunch bag. Why would she do this? It wasn't fair. What about a gift? No gift? Fine. My eyes searched for my bestie in the school's library. She was sitting with a boy. So, that's why. What ever happened to sisters before misters?! Sighing, I waved at her and told her that I had to go see my history teacher for some more extra help. That was only half-true. I didn't want to be anywhere near her. So I decided to wander around school while I wait for the bell to ring.
My eyes roamed the area surrounding me when I suddenly felt overwhelmed. I couldn't breath, yet I was choking on air. What was going on? My hand clutched my throat as I bent forward and staggered to the doors. My bare knees came in contact with the cold floor as a wave of horror and fear washed over me, firmly clutching my lungs and squeezing tightly. Voices surrounded me, but I couldn't make sense of anything they were saying. My hand groped around for a helping hand. Anyone. I wanted to stand up.
"Eh!" A golden-haired boy called out to me from behind. His expression questioned my own. I could see myself mirrored in his green eyes. My eyes were wide, my mouth hung open, my cheeks flushed and my hands quivering. He took me by the hand and sat me down. As he turned to walk away, I stared at his retreating figure and my tears began to blur my vision.
Words could never describe what I was feeling. No, not because I couldn't put my feelings into words, but because I couldn't speak.
