Worth Protecting

You didn't have many friends, in the beginning, you only trusted your parents. They taught you to be strong since you were a little girl you were always picked on by other children, you would come home with scratches on your arm. Your mother would clean your wounds as your father would complain to the school about the other kids' behavior towards you. At times you wouldn't want to go to school, soon you meet Videl, she was very nice towards you, and she understood what you went through even if she never experience bullying since she is the daughter of Mr. Satan. The two of you knew each other's secrets she knew your parents as you met her father. He was a very caring man who loves his daughter with everything he had. Videl did have other friends, but she chose to hang out with you, your parents were also close to her as well glad that someone wanted to be friends with you. When high school came around she began to make more friends, she would come around to check on you, but then she had friends who influenced her to betray you. You would confront her about her ignoring you, and she would deny anything you said, her 'friends' didn't help either blaming you for bringing Videl down and being too clingy. Things fell apart when your mom had got sick; you would miss school to take care of her, your father would work more hours to support her. When Videl found out she used that against you, Mr. Satan knew about Videl's sudden change and tried to make things go back together. He would message you if you were alright, he was like your second father, sometimes he would come over to help with financial issues, your father would reject the money, but Mr. Satan would sign papers secretly to make sure your family stays stable. It was his of apologizing for his daughter's behavior for the past years. In your second year in high school, your mother had died. Videl knew about the death of your mom guilt had hit her, but she would shrug it off as her friends spread rumors about you being cursed and killing your mom. You would cry at night wishing she would hold you one last time; your father would comfort you the same when for Mr. Satan. Your father never drank, he didn't want to be an abusive father. He did what a father should do, he continued to work and took care of you, it was your mother's last request for him. You still went to school and tried to have the best scores for every exam your goal was to be in the top five, with that you could have a scholarship to any college/university.

In school ~
You wrote in front of your class as quickly as possible; a few students watched you, "Excellent (Y/n), you may now excuse yourself." You put down the marker and walked back to your seat a girl put out her leg at the last minute and made you tripped. The other students laughed out loud, "Kyoto how dare you?" The girl just rolled her eyes, "Trash belongs on the floor." You stood up without saying a word which displeased the girl. You grabbed your things and walked out of the class the teacher allowed this with only you; she knew that the other students would always bully you and for your safety, "Kyoto detention." Kyoto got upset, "What for I tried to set things back in balance-" The teacher smacked her ruler on her desk frightening the girl, "That's Enough!" You were standing on the other side of the door, hearing the conversation. You dialed your father, "Hey sweetie, are you heading home?" "Yeah, I'll be home in a bit." You began to walk to the front entrance, showing your pass to a teacher who was in charge of letting students leave campus grounds. "See you tomorrow (Y/n)." You were a favorite amongst most teachers since you were not like other girls. A beeping came from your pocket a message from your dad, 'Sweetie, I forgot to ask can you something.'

~Time Skip~
You entered the small grocery store to pick up fruits for your father since he wanted to make crepes, "That will be $16.23." The cashier said as you handed her a 20, "Your change is $3.77, thank you have a nice day." "You too." You grabbed your bags and walked out of the shop. "Oh dear." A woman said as her bag had ripped, you being a kind person you are you walked to the lady, "I have an extra bag." You took out a beige cotton bag, "Oh thank you very much!" The woman had black hair she also had a little boy with her, "Thank you, miss!" "You're welcome." You helped her put her items in her bag, "Thanks again um," "It's (Y/n), and it's alright I'm glad I helped." "I'm Chichi, and this is my son Goten." Chichi bowed to you and began to walk away, Goten waved at you and followed his mother. You began to walk home upon passing an alleyway you heard something. "Give me all your money." A masked man pointed a knife at a younger male, "I d-don't have anything I s-swear!" You could walk away, but something told you to stop it, placing your bag down behind a bush. You put on your gloves and took out a mask which covered half of your face that only your eyes are visible, "I guess it's my day to be active." You kicked the man making him hit the wall your eyes changed color from (e/c) to (another color), "Why you-" You helped the boy and rushed him out of the alleyway. The masked man pulled out a gun and shot you however you caught the bullet with your hand which slightly bled due to the impact, "Hey!" Another male voice shouted it was a man with blond hair and blue eyes, You let go of the masked man and ran off. "Hold up your hurt!" You jumped and flew off which baffled the blond, "Is she like us?" Once you turned the corner, you took off your mask and grabbed your bag as if nothing happened.
