Chapter 2.: Fangirls and Fanboys

This subject is going to be hard to talk about, but I'll do it anyway.

Fangirls and Fanboys.

Everyone in a fandom has heard of them but are they really that bad as some people might tell you?

The awser is both yes and no. Yeah, I know it sounds dumb, but hear me out- I'm going to expalin why.

Okay I'm going to refer to them as "Fans" as I don't want to write Fangirls and Fanboys everytime.

So there are two basic types of fans: the casual fans and the extreme fans.

The casual fans are people who enjoy the book/series/anime/game ect. and don't force it on others, they are calm and are happy to discuss about the fandoms. They have a few shipps here and there but nothing too extreme and/or illeagal (pedophilic shipps, incestuous shipps, abusive shipps ect.).

The extreme fans are people who usually LOVE the book/series/anime/game and sometimes force people to like that thing that they enjoy. If someone critisizes the thing that they love they will get very angry, often start a flame war or do something worse. For example if someone critisizes their favorite character they will not calmly, often in capslock send them an angry messange why that character is the best and they aren't willing to disscuss it calmly. They often shipp shipps that are pedophilic, incestuous, abusive ect. if someone critisizes the ship they'll do the same thing as if someone critisized their favorite character. Basically these people have gone too far into the fandom.

There's obviously more than these two types but I'm going to talk more about those later. (And yes both types are stereotypes and don't apply to all of the people in the fandom.)

Now, I think I explained why fans are both bad and good.
