Matt cautiously stood up, putting the laptop down on the couch beside him. He knew that if it was his mother he would be dead. Trying not to make any noise he slowly walked towards the bathroom praying that his mum was lying in the bath, dead. He was grateful that his mother had left the door slightly ajar. Peering through the door, what he saw was definitely not what he was expecting. His mum was lying face first on the bathroom floor in a rapidly increasing pool of her own blood. Next to her open hand lay a kitchen knife coated in blood. All of a sudden he felt dizzy. Matt may have tried to kill her but seeing her dead was a whole different experience. In the end she was his mother. No matter how much she had neglected him or pushed him towards suicide, she was still his mother.

When Matt awoke it took a moment to register where he was. He was back in the hospital. He tried to piece together what happened, no matter how much he tried he couldn't remember anything after the day he got expelled. He had no clue as to why he was in hospital, as far as he could tell he was fine. He remembered that Ally had been in the corner watching him the last time he was here. He turned his head to see if anyone was in that same seat. Instead of seeing a person he saw a note, stained with blood.

I decided to post this tonight because I didn't get a chance to upload the new chapter 1. Instead of doing them chapter by chapter I will wait until I have finished the story and then edit it all at once. Once it is finished you will also be able to order a hard copy of the book. As it stands I do not know how much each book will cost but keep tuned for more information. I will post tomorrow and possibly even another chapter on the weekend.
