I practically ran to my room. I was excited to open the note. It said Tomorrow six pm go to the headmistresses office. Don't be late -Katrina. That was it. I sighed. I thought there would be more information on it. I changed into my pyjamas and lay down on my bed. I picture all the possible assignments. It would probably be some petty theft.

The next morning awake up late. 9:28am. I wanted to wake up earlier and practice some more. I grab a quick breakfast at the main hall and run to my appointment with Doctor Ashlar. Before I enter I look down at my stomach.

"Keep your sh*t together stomach." I mutter to myself.

I enter the room and am directed to one of the small rooms off to the side. I enter the room and sit on the bed. Three minutes later someone enters. But it's not Doctor Ashlar. It's Katrina.

"What are you doing here" I ask.

"No idea. I just got told to go to the infirmary to see you. I thought something had happened." She replies.

I shake my head saying that nothing happened and we sit there waiting for the Doctor. He walks in a couple minutes later and sits on the stool.

"Katrina, Teryn how are you." He says.

"I'm fine." We both reply at the same time.

"Great. Katrina I will tell you why you are here in a second, but first let me exam Teryn."

Joy. She gets to stay here. I'm totally thrilled about that. Sarcasm intended. He opens my file and takes my blood pressure. Then he uses his stethoscope to listen to my heart. He notes something down. He asks me how much pain I'm in and I say a 1.5. Not a lot of pain. There are only moments where it flares up. He notes this down to.

"That's good news." He says while still looking over my file. He turns to face us. "I know you are both wondering why Katrina is here. I am going to put her in charge of your recovery. That means she will be accompanying you when you go to the gym or on a run. By the way Teryn you are now free to do whatever physical thing you would like as long as Katrina is with you. You do not have to come for anymore daily appointments." He says directing the last part a me.

I nod then Katrina and I leave the room.

Later that evening I leave to go to the headmistresses office. As I am walking I meet up with Katrina. I guess we are sort of friends. As we walk I ask her if she knows what the assignment is. She shakes her head and we keep walking. When we get to Mrs Acegi office, I knock on the door.

"Come in" call a voice.

We enter the room and then sit down in the chairs in front of her desk. Her office is black and pretty dark like most things at our school.

"Ms Macoy, Ms Vain. You have been selected for this assignment because of your skill sets. The mission is straight forward. Capture this man." She slides a picture across her desk for us to see. I don't recognize the man. I turn to look at Katrina but Mrs Acegi starts speaking again.

"This man's name is Craig Buekey. Here is his information. You leave in three days. I expect you will be training." Katrina and I each grab our information packet and leave. We walk back to our rooms together discussing our assignment. Before Katrina enters her room she stops me.

"Meet me in the main hall tomorrow at 6:30 am. Wear athletic clothes." She tells me. Then she disappears into her room. I go to my room and open the door. I sit at my desk and look at the information packet. Craig Buekey, Age 29.
Occupation: Head Prison guard. TAKE CAUTION. Task to accomplish: Capture do not kill if it can be avoided, set prisoners free and return without being compromised. At the bottom of the paper there was a note. Report to my office at 5:15pm on your last day before your departure- Headmistress Acegi.

I put the paper with the note and all the information on my target into a hidden compartment in my desk and decide to go to bed.

The next morning I wake up at 5:45 and get my self ready for my workout session with Katrina. I wonder what we are going to do. Katrina doesn't seem like a very athletic person. She is very pretty but she doesn't seem like a warrior. I walk down slowly to the main hall and begin stretching myself while waiting for Katrina. She shows up and directs me to the trails outside. As always one trail is closed to runners and walkers but is open as an obstacle course.

"Pick a trail. We are going for a run. We will go one the obstacle course later." She says.

I pick the trail directly ahead of us and we start our 10 kilometre run. We finish it in under 45 minutes and I am completely out of breath.
