"C'mon, Minghao!! Let's go!" You said, giggling like a small child as you pulled your boyfriend along.

"Calm down, (y/n)! The animals aren't going anywhere!" Minghao laughed. He decided to take you on a date to the zoo. Because of his busy schedule he didn't get to go on dates with you that often, so when his schedule ended he remembered the new zoo that you had been dying to go to.

"We have to get the tickets." Minghao said, walking into the line. You groaned with impatience at the slow moving line.

"Why can't this line move faster?" You mumbled to yourself, causing Minghao to laugh.

"Patience, (y/n)." He said, kissing your forehead.

Finally it was your turn to buy tickets, causing your jumpy and excited mood to return. While Minghao scanned the tickets you grabbed a map, looking it over to see where to go.

"Where to first?" He asked. You put a finger to your chin, thinking.

"Well, the Aviary is right here so that should be first. Then we could go to the Africa section, which goes around here near the Snake House... Oh we can feed the giraffes too!! And--"

"Slow down there." He laughed, gently taking the map out of your hands. "I think we should hit the Aviary, the Africa section, and then the Snake house, then we see where the day takes us." You nodded, grabbing his hand.

"Off to the Aviary!" You yelled, swinging your arms with Minghao as you walked along.

Whilst in the Aviary you pointed out everything from flamingos to ducks to the peregrine falcon. You did this all throughout the Africa section, too.

Your enthusiasm spread to Minghao, but he wasn't excited about the animals. He adored how lively you were, how each time you saw an animal your eyes lit up, how you would point out everything you saw. He loved seeing you happy; you being happy made him happy.

Soon your stomach growled, signaling that it was time for lunch.

"There's a cafe near the giraffes." Minghao suggested, noticing your obnoxious stomach. You simply nodded, skipping as you followed him to your destination.

As you were about to walk inside, you noticed a sign for a petting zoo pointing in the opposite direction. You tugged on Minghao's sleeve.

"Minghao!! Look, a petting zoo!!" You giggled, gesturing to the sign. He chuckled.

"After we eat, okay?" He said. You vigorously nodded, grinning from ear to ear.

You found an empty table soon after walking in, sitting down and saving a seat for Minghao after telling him what you wanted. He came back with two burgers and two fries, placing the tray on the table.

You talked to each other as you ate, enjoying the alone time.

"Ming," you started, using his nickname, "what do you want to do after the petting zoo?"

"Whatever you want to do." He answered simply, swallowing his burger.

"Oh, come on, there must be something you want to do." You urged.

"The only thing I want to do is be with you." He smirked. You playfully hit his arm.

"You're so cheesy." You laughed. He shook his head, laughing as well.

"But it's true!" You smiled, turning back to your burger and fries.

When you were both done with your food you walked in the direction of the petting zoo. In the distance, rolling thunder could be heard. You turned to Minghao.

"Rain?" You said. He shrugged.

"That's what it sounded like. But it was a ways away. I wouldn't worry." You nodded, linking elbows with him.

Everyone knew that you loved Minghao more then anything, but as soon as you saw the adorable baby lamb staring up at you you immediately let go of him and ran over.

"Awww!! Look at how cute you are~!" You cooed, gently stroking the lamb's head. It nuzzled into your palm, making you squeal. You heard Minghao clear his throat  behind you. Turning to look, you saw him pouting cutely.

"What about me? Am I cute?" He said, doing some aegyo.

"Yes," you laughed, "yes you ar--!" You were cut off by a couple drops of water landing on your arm. You looked up at the sky, and almost immediately a downpour of rain fell on the both of you.

"(Y/n)! Follow me!!" Minghao yelled over the noise, pulling you close to him. He dragged you away from the lambs to hide under an overpass. Next to you, Minghao groaned.

"What's wrong?" You asked.

"The rain. It ruined our date! Today was supposed to be perfect..." You couldn't help but smile, his frustrated face looked adorable to you.

"Ming, the rain didn't ruin anything." You started. "Look around, were alone." He turned his head to look, and sure enough he found no one.

"Now come here." You said, sitting down with your back against a support column. He sat down,  putting his arms around you. You both snuggled together, a sigh of content escaping your lips.

"You know, that lamb was really cute." You said, breaking the silence. Minghao merely hummed his agreement. "But I know a cuter one."

He turned to look at you. "Who?" You ran your fingers through his golden curls, smiling.

"You." You said simply, leaning in to kiss him. He kissed back immediately, and you could feel him smiling into it.

"I love you, (y/n)." He said, breaking the kiss. You touched his forehead with your own, grinning.

"I love you too, Ming."
