Four months later.
"Why are you following me around?" Asa grunted, hovering around with Kitty close behind him. "There's water everywhere. Why are you right behind me the whole time?"
Kitty laughed, carefree. "Annoying you is fun," she said.
"You sure look happy." He shook his head and chuckled bitterly in surrender. "But I'm on serious business here. Little kittens shouldn't follow."
"You're going to take over the world, right?" She flapped her wings and appeared in front of him. "Take me too, then. You and I together can make anything happen!"
"I agree." There it was, his Cheshire grin. In his excitement, his voice echoed in malice. "Come on then, Kitty." He extended his hand at her, the same way Kyron had four months ago--the last time they saw each other.
She took Asa's hand gladly, without the slightest hint of reluctance.
On the other hand, back in the South, Kyron was staring into a far distance. He was sitting on a beach, and in front of him was the sea.
"Master Kyron," somebody greeted from his left.
At the sound of his name, he turned his head to the left. "Oh." It was a simple recognition. "Miles."
"You remember me!" There was a twinkle in his eye. "Where's Kristene?" Right. Miles had lost all information and trace of Kristene when he moved away.
Kyron shrugged. "Who knows?"
"Is she doing fine, you think?"
"Either she's dead, or her life is happily revolving around the devil." Kyron turned his gaze back on the sea.
"Master Kyron, one more question."
"What?"
"Do you believe in love at first sight?"
There was a short silence.
"Yes."
