Mysteria (ON HOLD)

Chapter 1

*Beep, beep, beep, beep,beep, bee-*

I slammed my fist into the off button of my alarm clock. Another day...of school. I'm only in the ninth grade, I should be used to this. I crawl out of bed and put on a pair of skinny jeans and put on a flannel with a white tank top underneath. I look at the clock and It's already 6:45, crap! I need to leave soon. I take the bus and it gets here at 7:00! I brush my straight black hair that goes to my waist. I put on some eyeliner, mascara and chap-stick, good enough. I slipped on my red converse, shoved my luch and breakfast into my backpack and ran out the door. I jogged to my bus stop and got there just as it pulled up. I went all the way to back of the bus and started to eat my pop-tart. I don't have many friends, I prefer to be alone most of the time but I have one best friend and she is like my sister. I wish she was. I really don't like people. They just are the best and worst things in the world. Never in the middle. 

We get to school and I get off the bus and walk into the entrance. The big sign says Darian High School, then below it is a banner with the words "Welcome Tigers!" on it. I walk further and I spot my best friend in our usual spot. It's isolated from everyone and I like it that way.

"Hey Claire!" Sallie greets me.

"Hey Sallie. How's it going." I say with a smile.

"Oh you know same old same old."

She starts to explain her morning to me but I start looking at her hair. She got highlights. It looked good especially on her. She has gorgeous grey eyes that turn a light blue or green, depending on the day. Her new highlights make her brown hair look amazing. She is medium height and average size. She is very fashionable. Today she is wearing a royal blue tanktop with a leather jacket and black skinny jeans with her new combat boots. She is so pretty, unlike me.

"Claire? Are even listening?" Sallie ask me with attitude.

"Huh? Oh ya something about...uh..."

"Mhm. Come on lets go to choir."  She says as she drags me to the choir room.

Soon it was time to go to second hour. Sallie went to her math class and I went to Algebra. I am 15 and should be a Sophomore instead of a Freshman. Sallie is a Sophomore. I was held back to repeat Kintergarden. I'm not sure why but all I know is I had developed a learning disability. 

I get to class and sit in my desk in the back corner. I like being alone remember? After a minute our teacher Mrs. Marvin walked in.

"Alright class take your homework out and turn it in then take out your notebooks and copy today's notes while I pass back your exams."

I took out my notebook and started to copy the notes. One thing you must know about me is I suck at math. I hate it with a passion. I don't even plan on using it in my future anyways. I want to pursue a career in acting and acting my friend, has nothing to do with math!

"Miss. Jakobsin!" Mrs. Marvin yelled. I flinched.

"Yes?" I asked. She was walking over to me and slammed my exam onto my desk.

"You got another D- on your math exam!"

"I did? Oops." I said making it sound like it was no big deal. I should be used to this by now.

"Don't act like it's not a big deal. If you don't keep your grade up in my class you will have to repeat it!" She snapped at me.

"Alright Mrs. Marvin."

Mrs. Marvin turned away and started to teach the lesson that I didn't understand, as usual. Once she finished we had time to do our homework, well I didn't. I was already so confused I decided to read my superhero comic book I just got. It was about a female superhero that had the ability to manipulate, melt things and shapeshift.

"I wish I was a superhero." I mumbled under my breath. 

"What was that Miss. Jakobsin?" Mrs. Marvin was standing next to my desk.

"Oh nothing I was just, just-" 

"Just reading one of your comics." She said as she snatched my comic book out of my hands.

"Mrs. Marvin I'm sorry just let me exp-"

"You can explain after class." She barked and walked away.
