Chapter 3
Maisie's POV
I walked to the kitchen pushing myself through groups of drunk teens. I refilled my empty red plastic cup with a cold liquid. To be honest I had suddenly become quite drunk, I was way beyond my normal sober state but I didn't care anymore because it was too fun and exciting to stop.
I went to turn around but bumped into a hard chest "Sorry" I spat out as I stumbled back. He grabbed my arm only lightly not enough to hurt me but enough to help me find my balance. I looked up to the boy's face, Connor! What do I do now? What do I say?
"Are you alright?" his face full of worry. "Yes thanks, sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." I said with a smile "No worries. Do you want to get some air?" he asked "Urh yes please" I looked around for an exit. "Follow me" he said with a reassuring smile.
Taking my drink and placing it on the table he held out his hand for me to take it. I gave him my hand and let him lead me to a glass sliding door which led to the garden. I thought there would be people there but it was completely empty... weird.
The garden was surprisingly bigger than I thought it was going to be. We followed a path down the left side of the garden and stopped in front of a wooden bench. Connor took a seat and patted his hand on the bench for me to sit next to him.
As I sat down he put his left arm behind my shoulders and smirked at me. I felt me cheeks get hot as I started blushing.
"Soo what's your name?" he said "Maisie Anderson, what's yours?" I asked even though I knew the answer but I couldn't let him know that. "Connor Jones" he answered slightly egotistical. "I haven't seen you around here before, are you new?" he wondered eager to know more. "I moved back here from Australia a week ago but I have lived here before."
"Australia or here which do you prefer?" he asked "Well I like Australia the most but if I was there right now I couldn't be talking to you, could I?" I said with a smile on my face.
"True and I who wouldn't want to talk to me?" he said returning the smile back to me. "Well isn't someone cocky today." I said with a giggle he smirked a response.
I could feel heat rushing to my face, I looked down to try and hide it. He lifted his hand and turned my head to look at him again. "Has anyone ever told you that you have the most gorgeous eyes". I blushed even more at how sweet he was, no one has ever been this nice to me before.
He brushed a stray hair out of my face and looked from my eyes to my lips. Is he going to kiss me? Do I want to kiss him? Fu*k it!
I started to lean closer, he did the same. Connor was a good kisser he was slow and soft the way I liked it. I felt something in the pit of my stomach a good feeling, really good. He put his hand on my face as he pulled away seconds later tucking the same strand of hair behind my ear again. He moved his hand to the back of head and the other on my hip as he leaned in to kiss me again. He took control over my mouth. I put my hands through his hair lightly tugging gaining a moan from him. We pulled away both taking a breath.
He looked into my eyes and smiled "What?" I ask "Nothing." He said still smiling at me "Tell me." I insist "You're a good kisser!" "Thanks so are you"
"Maisieeeee!" Jasmin shouts which makes me jump. Jasmin stumbles out the patio door with Hannah following after. "Jas get your ass back here!" Hannah shouts at her sister.
"Oh god!" I look back to Connor "looks like your friends need you" he says "I should go and get her back home." I say getting up to walk away. "WAIT!" Connor shouts "Can I have your number?" I smile "Oh yeah."
Once me and Connor exchange numbers and say bye I go over to Hannah and Jasmin. "let's go!" I say taking Jasmin's left arm and lightly pulling her arm to guide her back through the house.
