Rachel's POV
I couldn't believe I had gotten the call, never in a thousand years would I expect to be chosen for the ensemble of a Broadway show straight out of high school. Hard work really does pay off.
"RACHEL!!" Screamed Gia.
Gia's my little sister she's 5 and is practically my shadow even when I try to have space she finds a way to intrude.
"What Gi, I gotta pack" I said, I called her Gi for short.
"Do you have to leave?" She asked
How do you explain to a five year old that New York is not so close to North Carolina and it is impossible to do this kind of work long distance.
"Yes, but you'll come see me and I'll come see you. Okay?" I said back.
She nodded and went back to what she was doing.
As I packed I looked at all the pictures from my graduation and going away party, I never realized how much I would miss home until now. I guess moving out on my own was happening a lot sooner than I was expecting.
