The almond tree was now bearing fruit, for Solomon's sake. Where were they?
Myron huffed as she and Rohroh supported a conscious but still hurt Muu between them. The Captain of the Fanalis Corps smiled sheepishly as he heard the familiar voices of Alibaba, Titus, and Judal approach.
"Muu! Are you better now? You should sit--"
"I'm halfway fine now, Lord Titus," Muu reassured the younger magi with a wide smile, though the worried look on his face did not dissipate at all. "And the almond tree's dropping nuts."
Everyone turned to the said tree, which was indeed dropping almond nuts, making Alibaba turn to Sphintus with a bewildered look. "How did that...?"
"Magic, Alibaba-san. Literally." Sphintus deadpanned as Marga giggled.
"Oh." Alibaba sheepishly cleared his throat and faced the healers and palace guards that he had bought along with him. "Heal everyone on board! Make sure no civilians come aboard the ship!"
As the healers rushed around tending to the injured crew members of Leam and the Fanalis, Alibaba patiently listened to how and what Judal and Titus fought. His eyes growing darker with each minute passing as they told the story, he nodded his thanks to the Magi who were more than happy to provide information.
"But there's one thing that bugs me," Judal grunted as he shifted his weight on one foot. " I dunno if Titus caught it, but that doll's hand was sizzling and blistering when it held onto the Fanalis' armor," Judal remarked as he pointed towards Muu.
"Well...I think I did smell burning sulfur..." Titus crossed his arms. "Something bizarre is starting to happen around us again."
Judal cackled. "Well, as long as it's interesting, I'm in!"
"My King!"
Alibaba turned to a soldier who knelt before him and bowed low. "Lord Kouha and Lord Kouen wish to board the ship. And with him, Lord Kouen brings the pink-haired guest and a servant of the Kou empire..."
Alibaba blinked at the soldier's nervous expression. " Who else is with them?" He asked gently.
"P-Prince Zayd and Prince Ashante are with Lord Kouha, my King."
Alibaba groaned exasperatedly and ran his hand down his face. "I should just let them in, right?"
The people onboard either smiled knowingly or grinned crookedly at the young king's obvious weakness for his adorable sons. Sighing, Alibaba thanked the soldier and allowed his son and brothers-in-law to enter the ship.
Ashante hurtled through the crowd of people with a squeal and tangled himself in his father's robes, happily blubbering about the food and stalls they saw along the way, while Zayd remained stationed with his Uncle Kouha (damn traitor just laughed at Alibaba's predicament), eagerly asking questions about the ship.
Kouen came in last with a male Kou servant and...what.
Alibaba blinked, and he was sure the Leam Empire envoys mirrored his confused expression as a girl with rose pink hair and golden eyes happily chattered with the male Kou servant, who bowed to him hastily. The servant immediately (and nervously) said something to the girl in the strange language they spoke, and she turned to them and smiled and curtsied smoothly, with a practiced grace of a noblewoman.
