Project Aegis' Apocalypse
December, 18, Saturday, 2197.
This was the end of the nuclear war which contaminated the reality we lived in. Nothing but mutated and disorientated beings from wasteland to wasteland, sky to earth.
Humanity was on the brink of extinction. Until the year 2297, a hundred years later after the travesty, Prof. Fate made the biggest discovery in the history of humanity, in the history of history. He discovered a machine with the power of creation.
Aegis.
But with the power to create something good, comes the creation of something bad. Prof. Fate , upon discovering this knew that the device must have been split into many more devices. His theory for this was proven that the device was split into 3 other pieces which were scattered across the world.
After discovering the counter effects of creating some good would result in the creation of something bad, he made the 'Rebirth System'. Aegis had another ability, the ability to manipulate living things and have them be bestowed elemental powers on the last thing they saw.
The program also was used to create enhanced humans whose DNA signature was irregular to normal humans, making them Super Humans. However, the idea backfired as his first 300 specimen's either went insane, committed suicide, body's ruptured or lost control of their powers.
Having failed to protect the post-utopian society he had created, he fell into a state of utter depression, Prof. Fate, pondered the at what made his experiments so unsuccessful.
Until his son, Zeth Fate, aged 5 at the time stumbled in. His eyes awoke with a sudden twinge of ingeniousness. Had his experiments failed due to the fact that the older generation held more knowledge than the young generation?
But this also lead to the same results of creation, something good for something evil. It created a race with the same intelligence as a human and the same reproduction system as a human, Professor Fate dubbed them the 'Ether' race.
This was where Aegis had dealt the right cards. The cards that lead to the future apocalypse of mankind's extinction.
