Over the years the two were always little trouble makers getting into everything possible but what can you expect it's them, while having a play date over Jimmy's they were swimming in a 4ft pool Barbara put up for them get cooled down with on the hot summer days.
Later that evening bad news came Delaney's father got drafted and they are moving far away from California heading to South Carolina. That is why Andrea let Delaney hang out at the Sullivan's all day so her mother could pack her stuff, getting out of the pool Delaney starts yelling at her mother "NO MOMMY I CAINT LEAVE JIMMY." her voice began to croak trying not to cry but it didn't work, Delaney and Jimmy was hugging each other tightly crying.
Looking at the kids the mothers were heart broken, it isn't easy leaving your best friend expecially at a young age knowing later in life you might forget each other.
Having to fight Delaney putting her in her car and holding Jimmy back they screamed each other's names watching them leave and pull out of the driveway for good.
Day after day week after week and month after month of over the phone calls they kept getting shorter and shorter till there was no more calls staying in the garage playing drums making music with his best friends he met in high school named Matt Sanders and Brian Haner Jr while back in North Carolina Delaney lives her life on the beach with friends always tanning or playing volley ball. Some days Delaney still often thinks how Jimmy's doing and if he ever thinks about her which in reality he always does thats why he is still depressed everyday he wake up to the poster that has photos of them as a baby all the way up to where they was 10 last time seeing each other was swimming in his pool.
